Getting down to a night of hard manual labour and long tea breaks.

But anyone there can claim to be the bestest truest Maidstone fan in the whole world and wear a golden crown of smug self-satisfaction. I doff my unworthy cap to your superior brilliance and loyalty.

I will duly hang my head in shame and put on scratchy PJs as penance before falling into bed in the morning.

Does the fact I didn't try to buy a cup ticket excuse my atrocious behaviour of having a young family and working for a living?

Well, I am too young to drive, and I do not live in Maidstone. I have football training on a Tuesday, so due to prior commitments I couldn't make the game tonight.
OR for your satisfaction I am obviously too big for this game, you'll see me when we get to the semi finals or even just get a final ticket (just for you mate)

249 is a great gate ,two days before our biggest game in 20 years,and England V Scotland on TV ,and were in a spell of so many games at the moment.

Everyone knew it would be an Academy side ,not many reserves were given a go .

So 249 is good considering the above.


Last season virtually same week we had Hythe at home in the League cup and gate was 339,and none of those factors applied.So whats the problem its about 90 down.

Course moaners ,and people who want to beat the club with a stick for anything will find one.

Cant people shut up,or lay off and just enjoy what the clubs achieved in a very short space of time .

Currently in Bridport so didn't fancy the 350 mile round trip, god I'm a bad man!
However cutting the holiday short and coming back Thursday, glory hunter as I am!

I dont actually expect ads17 to post on this thread again, he may well be embarrassed he created this thread, I mean everyone has an answer for not going, whether its to save money for Thursday, looking after family, work, commitments, and if you are reading ads17, we don't all not turn up for the fun of it mate.

You should have gone, as only 249 turned up, the pie shop cooked too many pies and were giving them away at the end! I've got a chicken balti for lunch tomorrow. It wasn't compulsory to eat it at once, Ant!
