At the end of the day everybody misses games at some point because of other commitments. It's not a competition. I was there tonight and enjoyed it, great to see the camera positions up for Thursday also, builds the excitement.

VERY poor attendance tonight (249, I think?) - Thursday's game is no excuse, the under 21s played well and deserved a bigger crowd to cheer them on.
As it was, the players were making more noise than the crowd. And there were so many pies left over, they were giving them away.
On the plus side, I was impressed at how well the U21s played, they play as a team and work for each other, and there's none of the prima donna behaviour we get with first team games. We should be proud of our youth - and give them a lot more support.

You clearly have the rebellious streak in you Depends what day you get me on NWS. What an honour though to have the darling of the message board watching me closely from the north Kent Coast. You're surveillance is noted and I suppose therefore in modern day parlance I can count you as a "follower".

You can complain - I've been watching the Stones for 34 years, but does that count when the free pies were being handed out? We need a decent free pie scheme put in place by the club.

You can't expect anyone who relies on public transport and is up for work at 5.30am the next day to travel all the way from the Sussex Coast for a Kent Senior Cup tie.So I made an exception and traveled to the match.

You can complain - I've been watching the Stones for 34 years, but does that count when the free pies were being handed out? We need a decent free pie scheme put in place by the club. I feel there is only one way to stop any ill feeling amongst the supporters who didn't manage to get a free pie last night , and that's simply , on Thursday, people who were at the game present their entry ticket, then their hand has a little stamp put on it (I am happy to supply a stamping machine to the turnstiles, so no cost to the club), then those without a stamp get a free pie, this will stop anybody being upset/annoyed when the chanting of ''who ate all the pies ?'' starts during the cup match..... of course it relies on supporters who were at the game to play by the rule and present their ticket , but with only a couple of hundred turning up I'm sure it wouldn't be too much trouble for the club to check any CCTV footage and give the pictures of those at the game to the turnstiles and they could check the supporters as they enter the ground to make sure they wasn't at last nights game....... simple really , just takes a bit of thought and not much effort

We should be proud of our youth - and give them a lot more support. This is the first home game I've missed all season, including league cup and KSC games, so I don't think that's bad going. It was always going to be poorly attended with 2 midweek games in a week because not everyone can afford the time. As for prima donna behaviour from the first team, I'm not sure where you get that from. I've rarely seen a better team ethic from either the first team of the fringe players.

I wonder how many of the 249 are ticketless for Thursday.

We should be proud of our youth - and give them a lot more support. Like the earlier games against Cray and Bromley, very enjoyable to watch, good to see the younger talent coming through, and of course an excellent result that gets us a bit closer to playing a Gillingham side before the seasons out. First time I'd seen the likes of Jeffrey, Kitt, Rose & Kempton, all of whom did well, especially Jeffrey in the build up for the equaliser. Godmon looked strong in goal again, making a cracking reflex save in the last minute when Hythe looked sure to take it to extra time Richard Davies had a very good game, as did Starks; Alex and Charlie kept battling throughout, but for me the stand out was a youngster called Nicky Southall, he put in a very solid 90 minute shift, looks a great talent for the future and must be in contention for tomorrow night Agree with the comment about the set up for the cameras tomorrow night, looks like they've got the main one above the dugouts on the halfway line, as there was for the Welling game but higher up, and then 2 more have been set up on the same side, each lined up with the edge the penalty areas Heard it said that Peter Taylor is one of the expert summarisers for BT tomorrow night. A paid-for scouting mission more like!
