Regardless of what Rooney did during the game and I agree he played a blinder, Zac is the designated penalty taker after Frannie and so takes the penalty, let's not allow this to overshadow a great result Stop making a mountain out of a molehill. Rooney played well last night. He just doesn't know the penalty taking order yet. Best players were Rooney , Parkinson & Elliot - We played much better in the second half. How is that making a mountain out of a molehill? If zac let Luke take penalty and he missed, jay would go nuts. So where's the mountain?

South East England, including East Anglia and London, is predominantly flat. The underlying rock is chalk, and meaningful heights are only attained in the Chiltern Hills (Haddington Hill: 267 m), the North Wessex Downs (Walbury Hill: 297 m), the North Downs (Leith Hill: 294 m) and the South Downs (which includes the chalk cliffs at Beachy Head and Seven Sisters).
A mountain has to have a height of at least 300 metres so I fail to see how he could have made said mountain even with the start of a mole hill

I cant believe we're having this discussion, but my take is:
Rooney was man of the match last night by a mile Zac is the penalty taker when Frannie is off the field Zac was the captain at the time of the incident Rooney should have backed down It might come down to goal difference at the end of the season
so:
No brainer was it?
However, I'd go a little further and say that maybe Zac should be our No1 penalty taker from now on?
3 in 3 isn't it?

Sorry, Trigger, but i give the best performance on this board and am clearly the captain yet you sometimes show dissent. You need to back your words with your own actions or you look a bit silly.

Out of all the comments to quote you chose mine which in all honesty is strange, not quite how sure my comments are making a mountain out of a molehill, please elaborate oh great one

Rooney was my MoM until the penalty incident, then I deducted points for the wrong attitude, and promoted Zac, who I thought did his best to calm Rooney down with the least fuss.

There is clearly a lot of expectation around Rooney and I'm sure he is very keen to live up to this and from what I have seen he is very hard working, gifted and passionate. Attributes that we want in all the players. There is also a degree of frustration that creeps in (not getting a pass last week and the penalty yesterday). I am sure he will settle into the club and become a fantastic asset to us, but the management team will need to temper individuals and ensure the team remains just that, a team. COYS.

Can anyone actually confirm that he does actually have big b*llocks or is it a rumour?

Next time I go to Sainsbury's, you can carry my four heavy backs of shopping home - uphill! On the other hand, we do seem to fairly bereft of mole hills in this area. Little buggers don't like all that chalk.

Good player, no questioning that...but if he's attitude stinks and continues like that, I wouldn't mind seeing the back off him. Absolutely embarrassing when it came to deciding the penalty taker. One question...why didn't Jay take his hands out of his pockets and intervene and stop his players from arguing with themselves? Rooney should of taken it end off !!! As for Jay not a clue ! Misuse of the words 'of/off' TWICE in just 7 words. True class.

Well, I did say on the other thread when you signed him that he often thought his name was Wayne and he always played as if he wanted to be the hero. In many ways, I am not surprised he wanted the glory of scoring the penalty. He never did it at Gillingham though as there were bigger star names and to my knowledge, Rooney has never scored a penalty in a match.
Still, Rooney is (with all respect) a player who is capable of playing at a higher level than what Maidstone is in right now. He might annoy people in the dressing room etc, but if he keeps performing on the pitch then people will overlook it I suspect.

What are the two accounts you refer to? It should be should have instead of should of and also of at end instead of off. Also it should be his instead of he's.
