I actually think Attwood is a very good hard working target man that gets plenty of goals just thought the whole situation was created cos he wanted personal glory when he should have showed a bit respect for team harmony Wrong way round here, he's the designated penalty taker. He was doing the same as he did at Kingstonian when Frannie wasn't on the pitch and as instructed by the gaffer. Last week the manager said how frustrated he was that he didn't take the penalty and let someone else. If Jack Sullivan had won the penalty should he have taken it?

Sorry did I miss something , was it only last week when frannie and zac decided to let harries take a pen and jay stated in the paper that he wasnt happy about that ,end of the day with frannie not being on at the time , surely zac takes over the penalty taking role so therefore takes it. End of the day this isn,t sunday league . Would have been interesting if sobers got fouled , would that have give him the right to demand to take the penalty. ..I dont think so.

Rooney was a class above tonite and in my opinion it was a lack of respect on Attwood behalf he know we all know who was man of match he won the pen and showed he wanted,Attwood should have moved out of his way and the the morale would have been buzzing rather then frosty,Attwood put himself and personal glory over team harmony Personally i disagree team orders stand if no Frannie then Attwood is the taker. Fair enough he had a good game and won the pen but you cant demand the pen taker steps aside. If Attwood offered then fair enough but you cant demand and that was embarrasing

If anything comes down to goal difference at the end of the season n we miss out by one goal, assuming Rooney took n missed the penalty, everyone would be moaning why didn't zac take that penalty. If Fran's not there, zac takes the penners. Right decision end off

I have to agree with SreveCragg. It was very embarrassing to watch the debacle in the penalty box. That said I have seen Zac score from the spot before. It was appreciated to see Rooney talking to the team all through the match, something we have been lacking since Steve Watt has been out injured. I'm in the stand so can't hear anything from the bench so can someone tell me if the coach gives any verbal encouragement or instructions to the team during the match.

However I do respect Rooney for coming out with:
"I've moved to a bigger club"
When speaking to Gillscum about us.

Rooney played a blinder in midfield and ran the show. Head and shoulders above most players in this league and played with passion , he was fired up and maybe he shouldnt have jostled Zac for the pen but it was great to see he cared so much. Cantt wait to see him when he settles into the side. The other title chasers should be worried.lets hope he sticks around. Could be a special player for us! Special mention to Cox too. He looks a great addition and has solved our right back worrys

Zac was right to have the pen. He is second after Fran to take pens . He was wearing the captins armband, therefore what he says goes. It's not right what Rooney did I hope zac ain't pissed off and it doesn't disrupt a team that was quite in tune with each other. As we all know you don't forget when someone tries mugging you off. Good result though and I think we gotta be in with a good shout saturday.

The subject is about Rooney rocking the boat when he,s only JUST joined last week so DONT TRY N PULL RANK OVER THE V-CAPT. We have a respectable good grip on morale all round so don't try ruining it for us for self glory (Rooney). Zac didn't get the warmest reception off a lot of fans at the start but he kept his head down worked hard and won us over Rooney is a FANTASTIC signing for us and I hope he stays but if he wants to call the shots way to early!! Just sit back be part and learn our ways of respect for the boss!!! Be it Wardy telling you tactics in the changing room Or Vice captain on the pitch telling you sorry no not this time DONT start a mutiny after being here for such a small time WERE UNITED!!!!!! I just hope he takes it on the chin n gets on with it cause he was outstanding today COYS!!!!!

Good player, no questioning that...but if he's attitude stinks and continues like that, I wouldn't mind seeing the back off him. Absolutely embarrassing when it came to deciding the penalty taker. One question...why didn't Jay take his hands out of his pockets and intervene and stop his players from arguing with themselves? Rooney should of taken it end off !!! As for Jay not a clue ! Just wondering do you have a personal issue with Jay? I only ask as you seem to be a very regular critic.

Regardless of what Rooney did during the game and I agree he played a blinder, Zac is the designated penalty taker after Frannie and so takes the penalty, let's not allow this to overshadow a great result Stop making a mountain out of a molehill. Rooney played well last night. He just doesn't know the penalty taking order yet. Best players were Rooney , Parkinson & Elliot - We played much better in the second half.
