Good player, no questioning that...but if he's attitude stinks and continues like that, I wouldn't mind seeing the back off him. Absolutely embarrassing when it came to deciding the penalty taker. One question...why didn't Jay take his hands out of his pockets and intervene and stop his players from arguing with themselves?

Fight fight fight fight! Townsend let themselves down and should have chanted that. As for Rooney he's passionate and wanted to get off the mark. Our strikers didn't exactly have the greatest of games to be polite, you can see why he was worried and wanted it. Next time though, falcon punch to the belly should sort it.

Not celebrating with his team-mates after it either? That's going to be great in the changing room after the game, morale is going to be so high.

The game was won. and after the display he had produced he deserved a goal. Stop finding the smallest fault, with Rooney and Brown tonight we witnessed the best central midfield performance seen at the Gallagher.. I thought we looked nervous until the first goal, and that was natural against the bottom club at home, but after that we could have scored 6.. MOTM? is a no brainer Rooney closely followed by Elliot at right back.

Rooney was a class above tonite and in my opinion it was a lack of respect on Attwood behalf he know we all know who was man of match he won the pen and showed he wanted,Attwood should have moved out of his way and the the morale would have been buzzing rather then frosty,Attwood put himself and personal glory over team harmony

All a bit silly but I was glad to see he continued to play after, went on a run and passed rather than being selfish. With the attitude he has been painted with I half expected him to walk around in a huff, may be we should give him a chance.

Rooney, different class tonight, but the designated penalty taker should take it, this isn't a pub match.
