Not celebrating with his team-mates after it either? That's going to be great in the changing room after the game, morale is going to be so high. Must have missed that bit as Charlie and Luke ran back together laughing. He then put everything into the last few minutes and even squared the ball to Flisher when he could have gone for a glory shot. If passion to win, and having the ability to back that up makes him big headed then I am all for that. I dont think apart from the penalty situation he could have done anymore as a team player.

Not sure what jay could have done not being allowed onto the pitch. Shout across the pitch? That's what other managers would have done? Who was captain, they could have helped?

I think I died a little inside when they asked for a ref and you didn't run out I did heathside, I promise. But funnily enough they choose a league representative over someone in a Maidstone shirt....gutted.

If Attwood didn't get a selfish strop on there wouldn't have been a issue,Rooney ran the show an worked harder than anyone else so I don't doubt his attitude as a team player it's our number 9 that I'm doubting

I actually think Attwood is a very good hard working target man that gets plenty of goals just thought the whole situation was created cos he wanted personal glory when he should have showed a bit respect for team harmony

Superb all round performance by Rooney and deserved to be given the penalty. As has already been pointed out, our strikers hardly covered themselves with glory in front of goal and I think most people in the ground would have loved to see him score.

Regardless of what Rooney did during the game and I agree he played a blinder, Zac is the designated penalty taker after Frannie and so takes the penalty, let's not allow this to overshadow a great result

Rooney, different class tonight, but the designated penalty taker should take it, this isn't a pub match. Like when they gave it to Charley, or Jack? No there's no precedence here at all, no siree. Go and listen to Jay's post match interview from last Tuesday. He says how annoyed he was that Frannie and Zac, as the designated penalty takers, let Jack Harris take the pen he missed. With that fresh in his mind Zac was completely right to stand his ground and do as the manager said last week. Rooney's played at enough clubs to understand there are dedicated penalty takers for a reason. Would he have done the same if Frannie was on the pitch as well. This isn't kids football where whoever wins the penalty takes it, goal difference does matter. Its only his second game for us, he needs to wind his neck in and get to know his team mates and respect what was here before he was and he'll be fine. Lets be honest it was embarrassing watching people fight over a penalty.

My biggest disappointment tonight was I only had one creme caramel in the fridge. I could have 2 or 3 easy. But Maidstone won so cheered me up.
