Agree not the best game I have seen us play, did we deserve the draw...probably just over the entire match, purely on chances created.
As for their keeper play acting, he did get clattered for our first goal and I was extremely surprised the ref allowed it to stand.
And yes Charlie Robertson has been a nice surprise but despite his goal he looked out on his feet around the 65 minute mark, pretty much the same as he did against Wealdstone midweek. I do wonder if the reluctance to make earlier changes will cost us points.

Couldn't believe how easily we were turned.
Perhaps as has been previously stated we were drained from the Wealdstone games and of course all the forced changes due to injuries and suspensions dont help but some of the more shocking performances were from the more regular starters.
Woeful doesnt do it justice again i thought the pen was outside by a metre or so and was harsh to penalise the challenge from Worgan in the first place.
We have been bumping along saying its the mark of a good team to pick up results when not playing well for a while too long for me. Want to see an upturn in form soon and be a little more convincing. As its going nothing for my nerves and if i had hair i would have pulled it all out 4 times over.
The team is better than this but the swagger has left the building along with the confidence Of some of the players. Hope it returns sooner than later.
Seems a miracle to still be top but top we are and thats more than i expected. Unfortunately don't see us staying there for much longer.
Before we got one back ( somewhat fortunately ) the whole team looked beaten needed someone on there to drive the others on and give belief, as in Mr Phillips who we really missed. Thank god for Robertson and Hill.

Leiston are low down for a reason. But we shouldn't dare mention we're at the top for a reason eh! But then why on earth should opinions about the context of our current situation be allowed....even though the context of Leiston's position clearly matters so much. Next it'll be that nobody can comment on the quality of the pies! So in answer to your question about why we can't comment without people jumping in mentioning our league position the answer is quite simple really....this is a forum!

T'was well inside the area. Looking forward to seeing your coverage to solve a couple of disagreements arising from yesterday. The challenge being inside the box and I really hope you've got the town end in full voice

No anger here NWS, I'm new here and in the short time I've been on here I'm clearly not the first to mistake one of your jibes. Clearly your jibes are often very similar in appearance to normal standard opinions, but given time I'm sure I'll learn to pick the difference. Failing that I'm sure you'll point it out to me!

Now that the footage is up and it's clear that the foul for the Leiston pen was comfortably inside the area, I hope those characters in the cheap seats who screamed entirely unmerited abuse at the ref will have the decency to apologise. There's no harm in people expressing their ill-informed opinion on here - in fact, I can think of one regular who'd probably have nothing to do if he couldn't - but people who accuse the ref of cheating ought first to ask themselves whether their wishful thinking isn't making them see what they want to see.

Definite penalty, in fact we should perhaps count ourselves lucky Worgan stayed on the pitch. Thought the ref got it right with our first goal as well as most refs would have disallowed it, but Tom Phipp clearly got to the ball first.
I know we weren't great yesterday but those highlights do show how many chances we created and on another day we could have had 5 or 6.
We are still top of the league (although we aren't likely to be by the time our next league match comes around) and I refuse to accept things are that bad. I remember going to Ashford for a match against Tonbridge when we were fighting fr our Ryman Prem lives. We were beaten 3-0 without us creating a single chance, all 3 goals were scored by a player who is widely regarded as one of the best strikers in non league football. That man now wears the number 10 shirt of Maidstone United.
We had two more people at the GS yesterday than they had at Welling v Luton in the first round of the FA cup and if you want an extra dose of positivity take a look on the Leiston forum and see how complimentary they are of the team, us, the pitch and the stadium.

Interesting watching back the highlights! 12 shots to 6 (on and off target) in our favour, hit the woodwork twice and scored twice. As I said before I don't think it was our best performance, but it just shows how spoilt we've been lately with the performances given all the disappointment on here.
I'd suggest all watch the highlights as I think it may well change opinions about the game with hindsight. I also think the quality of football played against Wealdstone on Tuesday is fresh in everyone's minds and Saturday paled in comparison.
