Lucky lucky Stones to get away with a point from this game.
A lot wrong with the team at the moment; strikers with no confidence, no central midfield whatsoever and a defence that seems more interested in complaining than defending.
Fair play to Leiston, who passed the ball well, had a real threat in No. 7 and didn't resort to standard Eastern Counties kicking tactics. Didn't look like a team in 20th place in the League.
My MOM Rory Hill, who at least posed a threat.

Good fightback in the end, we did also hit the woodwork twice and pen for them looked outside the box, not quite sharp enough first half though. May prove a good point at the end of the season as Dulwich lost 4-2 having been 2-1 up so still top of the league.

I agree totally with you "Porkystone", we were woeful at times, definitely missed Michael Phillips & Alex Brown...The new player, ?? Phipps, did just about enough. We need to regroup as a team, because today we were second best and made this Leiston team look good, but their position in the league reflect their standard. We got away with it today in many more ways than one... Dulwich Hamlet losing 4-2 late on in their game against Bognor Regis, so we are still top of the league. Please Jay, have a word with Frannie, he needs a boost of confidence because he hasn't been a "shinning star" lately... even with the new colored boots that he was wearing today. Let's get back to play the football that has put us on top of the division...It seems that we find it difficult to play against the average teams.C'mon you Stones !!!

guys, dont forget that cup games are emotionally draining.. i know having played in a couple back in my day.. with 2 hardcore games against wealdstone, this was always gonna be a tough one, so give the lads a break. remember, right now we are the team to beat so opposition managers will just say, go out there , have a good time and enjoy the crowd and the atmosphere.!!! so there!! next week, business as usual!!

Definitely a point gained today as we weren't at the races. Missed Brown and Phillips in midfield and the back four looked exposed without Micky sitting in front of them. Phipp looked unfit to me but let's see how he goes with another game or two.
Most disappointing today was our shape. Were we trying to do something different to the 442 that's served us so well this season? Charlie was tucked in the middle most of the game, so much so Zac was having to track back with their right back when we were 2-0 down! Because of this too much was going down the middle with Zac and Frannie spending a lot of the day with their backs to the goal. We're at our best for me when we stretch teams through our use of the wide men.

MOM for me today was Charlie Robertson, run himself into the ground, popped in an important goal and made several defence splitting passes that helped rory look good. Rory and Charlie did work well together in second half but Charlie gets my vote

We got out of jail today thats for sure we looked so slow and tired with no idea how to win the ball back. With no Micky Philips we have no idea how to break up play in the centre, There is no way there midfilders should have that sort of room.. As for the penalty it was a joke miles out side the box but we had a bit of luck with charlies goal so it evened it self out i think.. my motm Rory seemed very busy all afternoon...

Agree with others. Very poor first half cost us the win. But... We showed good character getting something from the game which we could have easily lost today. Its not gonna be pretty every game. Well done lads. Frannies having a minor blip but dont worry. He will come good as he is quality. Onwards to next week if we have a first half like today i fear we wont pull it back ! Good turnout today too over 1500 in poor weather

What an absolute load of rubbish, we were 2nd best in the 1st half and not much better in the 2nd half, I don't care what happened to Dulwich at Bognor, its sad that we are looking at other teams around us and hoping they lose, if that's the case then god help us, I have never felt as disappointed during any game I have watched as todays performance and had to stop myself walking out at half time, something I have never done in over 30 years of watching football, it was totally inept, luckily we got the equaliser which in all honesty we didn't deserve. Rant over and we move onto next week and if we play like we did today we will get hammered by Eastleigh

I know midfield missed Alex & Mickey but we were second to every ball. I also think that' although Charley Robertson did well we lacked shape without a natural left winger. When Flisher came on it made a difference ( although his form hasn't been great). If he had come on earlier I think we may well have won that game

Were you at the game today, if you were maybe I should borrow your amber coloured glasses, I have seen all games this season with the exception of the Margate away game and if you look back through my many posts I always find the positive of our performances and always praise the team and players up, I am always a glass half full type of chap but today was appalling, regarding your offer of doing seminars for you, you couldn't afford me
