Slight over-reaction I reckon. A poor first half, misguided complacency I reckon. We stepped it up a bit in the second half - but once we equalised it seemed to be Leiston who were pushing for a winner. That was the best right wing performance I've seen up against Tom Mills, a short bloke but he had good pace and touch about him. As I said beforehand, I think their league position is false and they'll move upwards in the coming months
Can't wait to see the replay for the penalty, looked a few foot outside the box to me and my hooligan mates at the back of the halfway line end - although the lack of reaction from TGFITW in the Town End may have made the referee's decision easier once his assistant had signalled it

Looking on the bright side though, let's not forget that a team that picks up results when not playing at its best is a team that's likely going places. We dug ourselves out of a hole today and although we're frustrated that's just a sign of how far the teams come.
Top of the league....unbeaten at home in the league....most goals in the league....best goal difference in the league....only lost once all season in the league....best pie shop in the league! Can't be all bad....

Not quite, but I think I quoted him and his father quite a lot during the game Are you trying to impersonate me on this thread, TA?

Why can't people give their opinion on a performance without people leaping in to say that not does not matter because we are top of the league etc etc. Today we were utterly woeful, disinterested and decidedly 2nd best in the first half and, at best, trying to make a game of it in the second half. We got out of jail, at the end, courtesy of a deflection. We barely strung any decent moves together at all. For me only two players were worth turning up to watch. Rory Hill, because he played with energy and intent and Charley Robertson because he played some good passes and kept battling. If I was managing Frannie I would get him to stop the fancy Dan flicks and go back to the basics of getting the ball, holding it up (which he does well) and playing it off simply. Cut out the back heels that rarely result in anything other than conceded possession. Just like last season we seem to be resorting to smashing the ball 60 yards from the centre backs. When we put the ball down and play it we look better. As someone else had said, we delayed bringing on Flisher for too long.
In the first half Leiston absolutely played us off the park and we were lucky to be within sight to make a comeback. What was worse for me was that having battled to get back in the game we had five or six minutes to go for a winner and Leiston spent the entirety of that time camped in our half.

I would have thought you of all people would know it is a game of opinions, I merely gave mine. The same people who have said Flisher should have come on earlier are the same who have been calling for him to be dropped. Today was poor, make no mistake, I just think there has been a massive over-reaction to a game against a side who are a darned sight better than their league position suggests

I thought the penalty was a metre outside the box and most around me agreed. Worried about Mills as he is always susceptible to the ball behind him lately. His positioning seems in no mans land. Also worried about the way referees & lines persons are effecting the games at the Gallagher. We were outplayed in the first half but the only thing we have going for us at the moment ( Character) pulled the team from the brink.

Character counts for a lot, and this team doesn't seem to known when it's beat lately (twice in a week we've fought back from 2-0 down). For me we're all geared up for a big performance against Eastleigh - only time will tell of course, but one wren doesn't make a winter

It makes you look opinionated. They are not the same people. I have not been calling for Flisher to be dropped. Leiston are low down for a reason.
