Evening. I don't usually post on other club's forum as I have my own to run but today you were let down badly by probably 1% of the crowd. I did thank him personally but it should not take a home supporter to step in to protect us for further abuse / missiles(and him getting soaked with beer in the process. I have been a Southampton fan, in the away end of Aldershot and not seen scenes like that. I wish you well for the rest of the season but you should consider creating some space for the away fans so you'll know where we'll be and move on such characters. A quick question like "How did you get to Central Park Complex without driving into bollards?" should weed out the Jonny Come Lately lot that should stick to hot chocolate. Enjoyable banter at the other end though...

I totally agree! I have been to every home game at the Gallagher and the atmosphere and banter have been brilliant but we need to stop this minority right now, I was in the town end and the group behind the goal (not on the terracing) were an embarrassment to the club!

They were Dan indeed as you say, an emarrassment. Had it not been for that fella or yours stepping in it could have turned nasty and had it not been for the rest of you apologising it would have been very easy for me to walk away from that stadium thinking "what a complete bunch of *******".

Some t**t throws a beer on the pitch and I get more of a going over for harmlessly mentioning the Folkestone game to the missus, how was I supposed to know she would say she's going and suddenly it's a family day out for all the wives and kids, taxi for Dan

One thing which we were wondering is why you allow alcohol on the terraces. How many non-league grounds DON'T allow drinking around the ground?

I am still in shock that somebody threw there beer onto the pitch, why would you waste it, Firstly if you are such a lightweight and can't drink mans beer, give your beer to me and I will drink it for you and you can stick with lemonade, secondly what were you hoping to achieve, take a look in the mirror if you can and see what an absolute t**t you are, what kind of impression is that giving to the younger fans watching the game, anyway rant over and we move onto Tuesday night for a must win game against Corinthian-Casuals........COYS

Leatherhead came and did a real job on us today, even down to which way they kicked first and second half. Flisher was well marshalled and they exposed our frailties at the back time and time again.
After hitting top spot through playing nice one and two-touch football through the midfield we have now resorted to giving it to the full backs to lump long. It's unattractive to watch and is leading to poor/indifferent performances and worse results.
We need a centre back with pace (I'm sick of saying this) and more creation in the middle of the park. We have enough forwards of quality to get goals but if we are giving away soft goals non-stop and the forwards are getting poor service then we could have Torres up front and still lose.
NB to the referee. I hope you will change your mind over the Flisher booking. All he did was pace out ten yards when you were quite clearly unable to request that Leatherhead players stand back the required amount (perhaps you were scared that they might shout or something).

How many non-league grounds DON'T allow drinking around the ground? I can't think of any that allow it. You may get the odd ground that turns a blind eye to a plastic being taken out but sold outside I haven't seen it. Don't get me wrong. I thought it was ruddy brilliant and had a prematch sharpener myself. I just didn't chuck it anyone when you scored your opener.

Not defending the chucking...but nearly every ground at this level is good for a beer whilst watching the game?
Unless they ban it when your mob turn up? ;-)

No, I think you're mistaken and what you've seen is the smuggled cans of Tennents extra you all bring in... You see it, we have an area where you can supp quietly I guess. That said I dare say a half of mildwould have tipped this lot over the edge.

that fenced area at leatherhead where drinking is allowed is embarassing and a sad reflection of your club i guess.

Not quite sure why we are attacking a Leatherhead fan over drinking when, quite clearly, there has been some poor behaviour from the Maidstone contingent. I hope these people can be rooted out and sent on their way if they cannot behave properly
