I think he was trying to show the sequence immediately leading up to the goal, so we get the best chance to judge where the ball was. with the fast shutter speeds of modern cameras, you . Quite honestly how anyone can tell for sure that it was over the line are wrong. My personal view is, I think it's over the line, and I say I think it's over the line. Most keepers do the action of holding the ball out when trying to save the ball going out for a corner, very rarely do the linesmen give a corner I've noticed. Anyway none of it matters, a goal was given and nothing changes that, you won the game. We had one a few weeks ago when the ball crossed the line by a good foot, I was sat right behind the goal and could actually see the goal line with the ball past it, the lineman ruled no goal, but that's life. You win some, you lose some. Good luck in the next round. It’s all moot anyway as we scored two more goals and sadly for their fans Ebbsfleet didn’t look like getting anything from the game.

Def my final word on the subject
The highlights def showed 100% that the ball had crossed the line by a country mile.
As clear as can be, no person with half decent eyesight could think or say any different.
The KM still photos showed the same as they were always bound to.
Not to mention the lino who was left with the easiest of decisions.
And the referee who awarded the goal.

If only DaveU took his shades off every so often, he wouldn't miss so many of the game highlights.

You might extrapolate from the players’ and linesman’s reactions but certainly not from what your eyes can see. Let’s hope this really is your final word because you are just plain wrong.

Unbelievable !
Now I know how you manage to upset so many other forum contributors by always believing and insisting you are right.

Unbelievable ! Now I know how you manage to upset so many other forum contributors by always believing and insisting you are right. There’s nothing wrong with my eyesight and I can’t tell the ball is over the line. The angle is all wrong. I’ve watched it and paused it half a dozen times. How about you tell me at which point in the video you can tell it’s in rather than just saying anyone with decent eyes can see it.

You may think your eyesight is alright daveu, but maybe you should get them tested.
Even from the Genco End I could see it was a goal.

This thread has become extremely bizarre.
We have DaveU who insists that Nick's eyesight or anybody else's come to that, could not possibly have seen the ball go over the line, even though it was judged to be a goal by the lino and ref.
Nearly every right thinking person who has seen the photographic evidence, supports that view as well.
Apparently DaveU couldn't make his mind up either in real time or afterwards. In his head it was all too inconclusive.
Yet he feels compelled to argue that those who viewed it clearly and called it a goal are somehow in the wrong.
It gets curiouser and curiouser.

I never said I couldn’t make up my mind. It was clearly over the line in the photos. But I still want someone to demonstrate how you could tell from the highlights. They’re from completely the wrong angle to give any indication that the ball is over the line. And how anyone could tell from The Genco just beggars belief.
