Used to be a bit of a bogey side, but it's our own form, especially in front of goal that really matters at the moment.
Just one goal at home (off Reece Greenidge's knee) speaks volumes. Not sure how many shots there have been on target in the first six games, let alone forcing the opposition keeper to make a serious save, but suspect we may not have reached double figures yet.
So, a chance to put things right tonight? Not holding my breath - though would love to be proved wrong.

Any thoughts on what it is we may have done to cause such great offence from the officials? At half time, do they not have a kettle? Have we not provided water or refreshments?
Something attracts diabolical officiating to this ground…

Well, that is very unfair to find ourselves 2-1 down, but a much, much better game of football, for which Chelmsford are playing their part. However, they also seem to have an extra player in the referee, who is letting many robust challenges go unpunished, as well as not giving obvious corners to us as well.

With the club giving him a 2 year deal, something that has never worked out well for us, unless they've put a performance clause in his contract he's going nowhere. No way the owners are paying off his contract. |

Feels a bit like the NL season under Hak.
Manager with lots of credit in the bank but really struggling.
I’m not one for sacking a manager after 7 games.
The game itself. Started well and you just knew we’d regret missing the other chances. Was quite a good and even game for half an hour. We do what we have tended to do for a year now, lose our way in a game, lose the drive to score. I think we are lacking (and I’ve said it a lot) a DCM to control the game. We haven’t got that. We are missing leaders and that’s evident even more so when isn’t on the pitch.
Chelmsford looked organised and knew what they were doing. We didn’t seem to have much of a plan B. The players are clearly low on confidence.
