Just to let you know as ,in your opinion, i am braindead and do not possess a brain cell i am returning my certificate to and cancelling my membership of MENSA as an IQ of 137 is obviously not good enough. Only 137, blimey that's nothing I would want to share. Member of MENSA maybe, but only just scraped membership, Starts at 132 so sounds like sword is in the bottom quartile. ! Never taken an IQ test myself but guessing it would be around 200. |

GROUNDHOG DAY. Here we go again ! As it is not yet midnight I will respond to this. Its not Groundhog Day. A while back i gave you all a vote as to whether i stayed or left,you as a group voted forme to stay. This time there is no vote, I've just had enough and I have other far more important things to focus on. I'm sure the majority of you will be glad yo see the back of me. The forum is "extremely toxic".
Hardly think so.
George has come in for a fair bit of stick, hardly surprising given recent performances and results.
But on this forum at least the general level of moaning has been fairly mild considering how dull the football has been to watch and where we are in the league.
Very few supporters calling for George's head, unlike the usual idiots on Facebook.
A little bit of falling out between fans is bound to happen but why oh why get so upset about it ?
Nothing abusive and nothing to get stressed about. Chill out sword and scooby
Don't take yourselves or each others posts so seriously.

This place is no better than facebook, its all the same really. Average age might be a little higher here but thats about it.
The form has been shit, the style of play has been shit. Last season we had a great cup run, but it wasn't down to us outplaying the opposition, it was about us riding our luck and scraping through. If we played Barrow, Stevenage, Ipswich again we'd probably lose 90% of the time. So we got lucky. The league we should have won the playoffs but it didn't go our way unfortunately. In about 3 months , George would have been in charge for 2 years. And we haven't seen good football yet, he's had plenty of time to get his team with a decent budget and its not looking good. I would be happy to see the owner change manager as I dont see this getting much better in the coming months. Certainly not enough for promotion.

Fair enough GG. You earn your luck when you play higher opposition though so let’s not diminish that achievement.
Last season, I agree, football wasn’t amazing and we shaded a lot of games. Most of us said so at the time. I’d say there were spells that we hit our straps for 4 or 5 games. We seemed to peak at the right time and the playoff defeat was actually a good performance.
Not even in the modern game can you sack a manager who had the credit of the cup run, after only 7 games though. It might mean that we look back in 10-15 games time and think - oh well that’s a season wasted, we should have acted but the owners (rightly in my opinion) are quite risk averse so will give George the time to turn it around.
Time will tell as always. Would not be surprised to see some player movements out and possible league loans in if we don’t start to win regularly

The only good thing to come out of the game was desegregation working well.
The little scrotes who would have been leaning over the barrier are suddenly well behaved.
Particularly as they had to eat humble pie and be outsung by a decent away contingent.
