@£%& my old boots. People wonder why I liked the County League days. Back then, Maidstone would have a game, I'd trot along, pay some dosh and watch. Now it's an Internet nightmare in which I can't take part. I'll either listen to Stoneslive or just do my garden and look up later. If we win, I can look forward to a final I'll probably be excluded from.

Does seem a shame that some of the oldies cant keep up with the internet age.
This frantic scramble for tickets was def a bit hairy.
Very much law of the jungle with the fittest and luckiest winning through.

Another reason why we need to consolidate in the NL where we “belong”

Highlights how much I dislike the play off system. Rather straight to semi finals with a home and away tie. Reduces the outrage at not getting an away ticket somewhat.
Never easy to sort this few tickets with such large demand, final will be even worse should we get there. Wish it was hosted at a neutral venue but the national league would never dream of such sense.

Probably too late now, but right at the beginning, you just clicked up the number on each category of ticket. There didn't seem to be any limit on how many you could have of each. The only slight problem is that, at the end of the process, they require you to give an email address for each ticket, so they can be 'verified' (this caught me out because I didn't actually know my daughter's email address!). But I'm pretty sure you could assign all the tickets to your own email if you wanted to, so even that wasn't a real restriction. But (caveat) I only actually bought two tickets, and both for ST holders, so maybe it knew we were both ST holders? (Although I doubt that.) Not quite jdl ! You didnt have to designate the ticket holders at the time of purchase, the proceess allowed you to leave it till later. So i currently have 2 tickets without a verified name or e-mail address, other than my own. In fact you can change the email addresses in the verification process to fit either the first or the 2nd ticket holders or both. I'm not a STH so the ticketing process obviously doesnt check that and in any case the ticket users details can be amended. So it is 'flexible'. It seems that tickets may be checked on entry so as to match the i.d of named holders, but i wonder if that will happen on the day. From previous experience, I very much doubt it. For instance, despite my astonishingly youthful appearance, I have never been challenged for having a 'concession' ticket... But then, for every 10 normal football clubs, there's always a Boreham Wood, or a Gravesend, so you never know.

Still, at least we'll get a third of their best stand to watch the game from...

Well at least the non-ST holders and distant fans will be happy this time... (or not!) I know it's short notice for us, but Worthing have known they are staging this game for some time - easily enough to have arrangements in place and generic tickets ready, and both us and Aveley briefed and ready to go. It's almost as if they don't care... They don't.

Not sure what I could do if I was never put in the jungle in the first place.

At least it is on NLTV. Worthing are a threat, for sure, but as long as we can keep eleven on the pitch, feel we have a more than decent chance. George has got them pretty well organised these days, Rush and Tanga will chase all day while in Klaas and Faal we have players who offer something a bit different. Think it could be tight, but the longer we stop them from scoring, the more frustrated they will be and that could be our best chance. Worthing, by the way are W2,D1, L3 in their last six home games, scoring 11, but also conceding eleven. We have done well away recently: W5, L1, scoring 11, but conceding just 4.

The fact that you couldn't even find the metaphorical jungle, speaks for itself.

I think with so few tickets a ballot system would have been fairer.
I said it around the time of the Ipswich game, but a fan club / membership to use as a reliable database if nothing else would save the club so much hassle for times where tickets are in demand.
It recognises that not everyone can afford / commit to a whole season of games and gives priority to those should have it.

Talking of Ipswich, they’ve just sold all their season tickets for next season, with a waiting list for the year after. Success brings its own problems.

I said it around the time of the Ipswich game, but a fan club / membership to use as a reliable database if nothing else would save the club so much hassle for times where tickets are in demand. It recognises that not everyone can afford / commit to a whole season of games and gives priority to those should have it. So the club have Season tickets and part of the season ticket is priority for big matches yet you want to set up a fan club/membership scheme meaning something else the club has to go through and spend money on for potentially 1-3 games a season and in most cases ZERO games per season. Whilst it's not perfect the Season ticket priority system that the club use is the best solution for the amount of times that this type of situation arises (Oh and i am saying this as someone who is NOT a season ticket holder and is not able to get a ticket) 22/23 NONE 21/22 Dorking away 20/21 NONE (the few games you could attend Hendon, Wimborne etc) 19/20 NONE 18/19 NONE 17/18 Possibly Cheltenham (I can't remember now) 16/17 NONE 15/16 Ebbsfleet Playoff Final Away So in the previous 8 season's 2 possibly three games have had any type of requirement like this. If this was a normal league game there would be no need for online ticketing as there would only be around 150-200 Maidstone fans going NWS has already mentioned he was at the league game away at Worthing as was I and neither of us are going this Sunday, BUT neither of us have an issue with how the club are allocating the tickets. Being a Season ticket holder gives you various perks, at Maidstone those perks are -- A number of games FOC when you purchase the season ticket -- Priority tickets for big match away games -- Early bird renewal price offers for the following season There is NO need for any other scheme membership program at all.
