Yer not wrong Harry !
We've been told loads of times on this forum that the decision to segregate is forced on the club by police/Council.
What's going on ?

Can those informed forum members explain why the council and police have decided this match can be unsegregated. Whenever Stones fans have criticised the segregation arrangements this season we have been told by the usual suspects that the club have no control because its decided by a combination of the police and council. So how as this decision been taken or have you been feeding us a load of bollocks all the time ? Loads of bollocks I think. The “someone within the club told me” merchants

The police can (and have in the past) overrule the clubs preference and force the game to be segregated. The clubs bed wetting security officer is the one who has imposed almost permanent segregation since the spate of issues.
Not sure the council have any power to do with the whole thing, but the police definitely can have input.
I imagine the club are not segregating this one to ‘see how it goes’ I guess. Seems trivial to me - wish we’d just go no segregation (aside from the obvious ones)

In a word YES the same know it all, or thinks they know it all, giving an 'opinion' on the basis of there knowledge ie naff all! The problem is that our owners wanna sell and their passion has gone. They appear not to care therefore lower attendance.

Its an opinion, that all.
Maybe a shade harsh, but for sure we know the owners would like to sell at the right price and to the right person.
No question they care plenty about the club still.

Fair comment. I'm guessing that a few seasons back, the FA cup windfall would have found a way to fund other more exciting projects rather than support infrastructure improvements that were forseen and pre-planned and presumably built into budget plans anyhow.

I have nothing against segregation - where and when it's needed. Anyone who spent any time watching football in the 70s and 80s was bloody grateful for segregation.
And, inevitably, as we climb the pyramid, we will need more segregation at games.
What matters is not that games are segregated, it's how well and how safely that segregation is carried out. And, I'm afraid, at JWW it isn't done well or safely.
I'm not going to bang on yet again about giving the TE to away fans, or the other 'solutions' that have been proposed, but the fact is that segregation will remain an issue with us until that situation is sorted out - however it might be done. And, if we do get promoted this season, it's going to be an issue in practically every game, so we need to get it sorted out.

This not aimed at any individual on this forum and I get the frustration. I have stood on the Genco many times and it's a crying shame it's not a Maidstone only stand.
But, it's easy for us all to forget that our 'solutions' have a direct impact on the owners' bank balances. They don't need us to tell them that it's not ideal to have the biggest stand segregated. The TE stand itself would be perfect but it is right next to the bar and main entrance. That's not an easy place to segregate and, likely, costly to effectively achieve.. I'm sure Terry and Oliver would love to hear ideas that are virtually cost free and avoids obvious pitfalls.
Personally, I don't blame them for not spending all of the cup windfall. Years ago they said they'd already put in more money than they wanted to. They were on the verge of virtually begging for money before the cup run.
They are not the problem. We all are. We either don't have the money ourselves or, for some lucky individuals, do have the money but aren't willing to fork out. Let's not blame the two people who actually are fronting up with the cash.

So how as this decision been taken or have you been feeding us a load of bollocks all the time ? maidstoneunitedfc.proboards.com/thread/9977/supporter-behaviour?page=20Page 20 post 5 has a link to the NL stadium safety rules which has the reference that the LA has no say on segregation BUT they do have a say on capacity. There is a reference to supporter safety (page 13) which is the most likely bit about Police input but ironically the link is to the FA and it has a 404 error... However it is noteworthy that there is nothing in regulation (at NL level and below) that talks about enforced segregation by a third party which kind of infers to me that it is an internal matter. Admittedly this is kind of subject to the "pink tutu" rule, that is to say for example that in your contract of employment it doesn't say you can't wear a pink tutu to work, but that doesn't necessarily mean you can or should.

Maybe starting at the far end as to not block the way for getting more stuff through. now that doesn’t make sense as a sentence but I mean if you Build the town end up perhaps you can’t then get the machinery and beams etc to the other end?

'The police can and have.... not sure council....' the best is last, see how it goes! I seriously can't believe you posted that. See how it goes, unbelievable?! Oh that didn't go well ten dead, mass fighting, flares best segregate next time.
