Helen Grant @helengrantmp · 17h Pleased that Chairman of @thevanaramanl has confirmed to me that an independent committee will review distribution of @tnluk funding. It is crucial for the future of @maidstoneunited and many other clubs that the money is allocated in a way that accounts for lost gate receipts I'll believe it when it happens and they actually redistribute the money. But, of course by then it will be too late to change anything, or get any money back, and we could have spectators back by then (although no doubt only in limited numbers). So the end result will still be that greedy bastards like Parmenter and Hunter will have raked in thousands of free money and well-supported community clubs like us and Hamlet will be up to our ears in debt - or, in Hamet's case, possibly worse. Well done NL, you greedy bunch of selfish bastards.

Well done NL, you greedy bunch of selfish bastards. Having sat on many committees over the years I can tell you they will sit with their single malts and genuinely discuss the situation in full then agree 90-10% to change nothing. They will all then pat each other on the back and say what a great job they have done. I have tried to get many things changed over the years and succeeded only once so dont hold your breath.

BBC News - Coronavirus: Inside test-and-trace - how the 'world beater' went wrong www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-55008133 Worth reading, because it underlines everything about how this government works. Those in power rely on old boy networks to grease the wheels of management, only listening to those with real knowledge when it is too late. The Test and Trace response is far more important than lower league football, but this article shows great similarities in the way things are handled - essentially give the money to your mates and hope they sort it out. Fine if those responsible are fair, public minded people, much less so if they are a bunch of money grabbing ne'er do wells, dominated by self interest. One thing seems certain. By the end of this pandemic, a few (already rich) people will have done very nicely out of it, while the rest (especially the least well off), will be paying for it for a generation.

Oliver says the league's unknown review group meets on Monday. Not that anyone other than the league can contact them, as we don't know who they are or what they have been asked to do: twitter.com/olivernjash

They let you sit on committees?!?!?!? There are times when I can be quite sensible. I have sat on charitable funding committees as well as mental health many years ago. I have also been involved with an organization dealing with sexual and domestic abuse though with my own health problems I now just play a minor role in that. I also belong to one other group but if I tell you that I would then have to shoot you and I dont want to do that to a fellow supporter.

It wasn't but he was right about your Tory party. Even the National Audit office has started having a pop at contract handling.

The National League has formed an independent review committee 'to look into the methodology of distribution of emergency funding'. The committee has asked each club to provide a summary of their thoughts on the subject. The £10m of National Lottery funding ends next month. t.co/WqA09sEGwz

Oh dear, chaps, looks like it was a bit dodgy, but unfortunately we were too late to do anything about it...

Well we are one third of the way through December and no word from the enquiry what is taking so long? Only 2 questions need be answered , 1. How did you decided to split the money? 2. Why? That should have taken about 10 minutes max, and yet 3 weeks in nothing. It's not good enough, have Oliver and Terry conceded defeat ? If the answer to that is no then why are they so quiet when our future is at stake ?
