Serious stuff. I can't see this being settled without a lot more agro - probably going to court. I don't understand why the NL have done things the way they have, they have completely ignored the original idea of how the money should be distributed, and have just gone for ' these are the important clubs, these aren't' approach (assuming there is any logic in what they've done). But surely they knew this would cause trouble? This isn't like the 3G situation, where people might get fed up and give up, this is life and death for some clubs. We, for instance, are now haemorrhaging cash, having been persuaded to start the season based on a promise of money which never came. What are O&T supposed to do now - carry on and run up a huge debt, or resign and take the consequences (which, with this NL board and chairman, are entirely unpredictable)? Clubs in our position can't afford to f**k about with this; we have to get it sorted out asap. The longer it goes on, the deeper in the shite we get. Surely the NL could have seen this coming??

Doubt it, like many MPs, their heads are variously in the sand, in the trough or up each others' arse.

That c**t mp dowden was involved in getting the grant and was then happy his mate the shitcunt at boringwood was giving a much bugger slice then he really needed.
It allowed boringwood to go out and sign a top player.
We've slashed our budget to live within our means and still get screwed over, ive never wanted to see a football team or any sports team for that matter but there are a few in the national leagues I'd be happy to see go to the wall now.

Why should it have to go to court. They need to go back to the Government who set out the scheme, and get the culture secretary Olivier Dowden or some other MP to deliver his promise “to help cover their lost gate revenue”. If it covers fully one club to a point where they have more than their normal gate revenue and not another where they are still short, then the distribution is unfair. Clubs agreed to start the season expecting a fair pro-rated handout. From hm govt, I quote “ Funding will be distributed to each of the 66 National League clubs to help cover their lost gate revenue from the delay to fans being permitted to return, that was originally scheduled for 1 October” www.gov.uk/government/news/10-million-lifeline-from-the-national-lottery-for-national-league-football-announced-by-culture-secretary

It's good that the media is not letting this go. Too many NL chairmen have their noses in the trough with this public money. The lack of transparency is shocking. Will be interesting when NL goes cap in hand to the Gov again after xmas asking for more of OUR money.

Dorking being on that list is laughable.
They are heavily bankrolled, only have like 400 fans and were handing out 2 year contracts in the summer, so to claim that 30k a month isn't enough for them is absurd.

Anyone else hear Parmenter on radio kent. What a knobhead, he said how can you go by last seasons average gate when the season was finished early. He reckons it is all fair and we should not be moaning. Of course he thinks its fair, he is laughing getting 90k a month, making more money than if crowds are allowed in!!!

. Interesting parmenter wouldnt say who these 'independent' assessors are...or why small clubs should receive more money than if crowds were allowed. I think he knows the NL argument is built on sand.
The National Lottery will look twice about giving money to NL clubs after christmas if the lack of transparency continues.
Shame Radio Kent gave Parmenter such a soft and easy interview.

A while ago, someone posted a link to a comparison between what we get and what we should have got, but I can't find it. So I did a 'quick' spreadsheet thingy of my own...
How much more/less each club is getting per month compared to what it should be getting based on last season's av support:
Hungerford Town 19,245 Oxford City 18,150 Concord Rangers 15,832 Braintree Town 12,902 Eastbourne Borough 12,805 Hemel Hempstead Town 12,483 Hampton & Richmond Borough 12,032 Tonbridge Angels 10,455 Chippenham Town 9,939 St Albans City 9,875 Welling United 9,746 Dorking Wanderers 7,492 Billericay Town 3,660 Slough Town 2,888 Chelmsford City 1,986 Ebbsfleet United -1,556 Bath City -4,808 Dartford -8,254 Havant & Waterlooville -15,016 Maidstone United -21,187 Dulwich Hamlet -34,840
Note: It's arguable how to work this out. My approach was to allow NL clubs 25% per fan more than NN/NS clubs, to reflect higher prices, and I've allocated money to each division based on the total of the av attendances in each division - so NL gets £2m a month to distribute, NN £0.76m and NS £0.57m. I've then split this between clubs based on last season's av attendance, and then deducted the money each club was given.
Usual caveats: Not only are my method and assumptions highly arguable, but my maths is almost certainly going to be wrong in places (I only had 4 hours sleep last night, so my brain is a fog...). But, overall, I don't think it makes much difference - basically, we was robbed.

His first words were to have a pop at Oliver Ash for seeking to protect his own club, which made Parmenter sound, as if there were any doubt, like a bloke who knew he didn’t have a leg to stand on.
Utter bull$hit from someone completely lacking in integrity, I hope he sinks without trace.
Talked about some detailed formula that had been arrived at that’s been used to calculate the distribution of funds, he even wanted us to believe this had been arrived at independently. My ar$e.
- if that were true, why the f*** not come clean and tell everyone what that formula was!
He even said that clubs had already received their first payments and that it would be grossly unfair if these were now challenged, effectively saying that those clubs had already either pugged it away for safe keeping, or spent it on new signings.
Shambolic leadership. We deserve far better. Would be nice if they NLP came off the fence and reported it like it is too.
