Our diabolical showing continues losing to dover second half just started
With the amount of trialists we are churning out each week I’m Guessing a fair few names have turned us down and we are now clutching at straws. So far 4 pre seasons, 2 goals scored against on paper poor oppo bodes well for the season ahead.

Being stuck indoors ill and very bored I searched up some of the trialists
Simon Mensah (midfielder) - played for Dartford & Wealdstone last season. Matt McClure (forward) - played for Aldershot the last 3 seasons Ibby Akanbi (winger/forward) - Three Bridges Saidou Khan (midfielder) - Tooting Ayuk Tarh (midfielder) - spent the last couple of years playing in Congo

Not seen any games yet, but given the team have barely started playing football, focussing mostly on fitness, we shouldn't be surprised to lose to the likes of Dover and Bromley. However, with less than three weeks to go before Weymouth, it does appear that time is running out to build a team. The ten games in the first five weeks will not necessarily define the season, but they could make it harder. Who knows, other than there is no doubt that those first few weeks will be challenging.

Results not so much that worries me at this stage but the squad. Having a high turn over of trialists is a sign we are casting out a lot of lines hoping we get someone that bites. Ricay have made some good solid signings today and as much as it pains me to admit the title probably will go their way or havants if we don’t add some good depth and quality for a long hard campaign. If there’s any indicator we need another investor onboard it’s shown itself the last week or so with the signings cooling down and the plethora of trialists.

Released by Aldershot I assume ??

Whatever happens, this week I hope to see some decent players added because the squad is paper thin

Whilst remembering it's a preseason friendly and remaining positive for the season to come my match report for tonight is one word "woeful".

How many of the Dover team have made first team appearances for the Stones versus our current line up?
Just asking for a friend.

What an absolute waste of time that was going go to watch that. If they were there for fitness, they certainly got a good run around (chasing shadows). Matt McClure looked good and probably worth signing but I wasn’t convinced by about half the others. My first pre season game and I don’t think we have a squad that’s going to even make the play offs, were about 3-4 players short. I never take any notice of the friendly games but seriously...we looked like a Ryman team. Off on holiday to the states for 2 weeks tomorrow so will hopefully come back to a repaired/finished product for the first game of the season.
