Okay, going down is the last thing anyone wants, but providing they don't come up, or go bust, we will have welling and Dartford next season in the vanarama South, the mangles may come out of the isthmian, and Dover may come down with us, so some nice little derbies there I DO hope Dover go down as well I will be happy not to play Dover next season. Much better potential derby matches on Boxing Day and New Years Day. Suddenly National South is feeling more attractive.

We never beat them in the league, they hardly bring any fans to us and whenever we visit them you have to deal with all the local scum who show up specially just to act up.

That's correct, and don't forget that they came down from the conference as we went into it, so if we do go down and they go up, it will be quite ironic really

I wonder if that C..T Wheeler wants any of his signings we still have for Ricay..!? Who is left that he signed? I recall, Powell, Robinson, Swaine and the young keeper, but the rest I think are loans still like Cassidy or have already gone. I would swop Loza for any of them to be honest who I believe wants to leave already

He has been a proven NLS goalscorer this year at Woking, and it was always great watching him tear down the wing for us at JWW when all he lacked was an end product and a willingness to buy in to the Clowns punishing training routines and overall apparent bullying approach.
Also, with Jamar could come his brother from another mother Michee Efete, who we will need in NLS when Meredith leaves and was developing into being a good player at JWW until the Dealer destroyed his confidence and wasted him out on loan exile at Bath - only to then re-sign him for the Ricay! Michee needs saving from the Clown as well.

Just what we need! End product? Pah. Overrated concept - it's the taking part that matters, not the winning...

In a way it's better like this. No dashed hopes. No false recoveries based on the odd lucky win. No highly unlikely mathematical permutations. We're crap. We know it. We're going down.

Barney you really aren't the cheerful purple kids character are you? More like Private Frazer...........we are doomed, all doomed!
Yes we are probably going down, but NLS isn't the end of the world if we re-embrace a semi-pro love for the game within the squad and why cant we cheer however close we get to FAT glory? Or even KSC? At least its a trophy and to get it we will have beaten Gillingham again - even if it is their Academy.

Indeed. Forget about tables. Just enjoy whatever game you are at as a single event. I've been doing that all season.

Thing is, I've done the whole positive thinking for months. Like everyone else, l've counted down the clock to 90 minutes plus injury time, recalculating how many minutes to score one goal to put us within two goals of equalising, then...who knows? I'll still be there every week, just with a slightly different mental outlook. In the five stages of grief, I've done denial, anger, bargaining and depression. Acceptance is quite a relief. Reading the finance discussion, Maidstone have been punching above their weight the last three seasons. Until the infrastructure of the club is built up, NLS is a good level to be at. It might even be fun again.
