I couldn't make the game, so can't comment on it, but the concensus of opinion suggests that we were (are still) crap, so that certainly suggests relegation. But, it's a long way from definite - there's still time for Still to work some magic. A win on Tuesday, and we'll all be checking the table and adding up the potential points again. And, mathematically, we could still win the league! Madness I know, but it does illustrate just how much of the season there is still to go. Personally, I think we're heading for the NS, but it ain't over until the fat blokes sing. Yet you still managed to give an almost live messenger feed on this forum throughout the game.

Did you time my posts?! What exactly is your beef with me? I couldn't make the game for personal/family reasons. But, strangely, I was still able to listen to SL for most of the game and even sit at my PC for an hour or so. Pehaps because I was stuck at home? Have I ever commented on where you are during games, or why, or why you post what you do on the forum?

Just when you think "IT CAN'T GET ANY WORSE"
JOHN STILL (KM OnLine)
“I thought their first-half performance was probably more than we could handle, other than I thought the backline did very well and the goalkeeper. “I thought the midfield, we were very, very poor, we missed Simon. “You get a grip of a game in midfield, that’s where you have to get a grip of the game.
AND NOW
Maidstone boss John Still fears key midfielder Simon Walton could miss the rest of the season with a shoulder injury. Player-coach Walton landed badly after being accidentally clattered by Stones goalkeeper Dion-Curtis Henry during last week’s 3-0 FA Trophy replay win over Salford. He could still barely move the arm while on coaching duties in a 2-0 defeat at Bromley on Saturday. No timescale has been put on his recovery but Still said: “I think it’s going to be a while, a long while".

Totally, utterly, completely royally stuffed. Even Prestege, Lewis and Stephen Gerrard in his pomp will not save us now. Halifax could be interesting for how many we concede. Can't see us creating anything.

It was in code, JB. Take the first five words from paragraphs 1 & 2 and you get nearer to his truth

The shot count must have been in double figures, what let us down was that only one of them even remotely troubled the keeper. However negative you felt about the performance (and I realise I'm in the minority here) you cannot accurately say we created nothing.

How can you say we didn't create anything. The shot count must have been in double figures, what let us down was that only one of them even remotely troubled the keeper. However negative you felt about the performance (and I realise I'm in the minority here) you cannot accurately say we created nothing. We gave it our best shot. It almost hit me mid Genco stand! Just watched the Halifax highlights which, of course, cut out 80 minutes of low quality keepie-uppie hoofball and show our off target or easily blocked, efforts, our one header on target by WDH (straight at the keeper!), their two shots that hit our woodwork, and the almost comical way our rookie keeper got himself injured that if it had trickled in the net, and been given, would have gone viral on YouTube as one of the classic goalie cock ups. So, yes DaveU, we did create something, but certainly not double figures, and, as you say, troubled no-one.
As for staying up (The original title of this thread) yes, it is mathematically possible - as it will be right up until winning every remaining game doesn't save us - but we have to admit after losing at home to one of the worst visiting NL teams, with eleven games to go, it is unlikely. Lets pray we get something out of Saturday's game!

You could pray all you want Oldboy. It ain’t happening Now that IS negative! With league pressure off and our professional mercenaries personally keen to play at Wembley and get that on their CVs irrespective of the club they are playing for there is always hope to get something out of the game.

Okay, going down is the last thing anyone wants, but providing they don't come up, or go bust, we will have welling and Dartford next season in the vanarama South, the mangles may come out of the isthmian, and Dover may come down with us, so some nice little derbies there

Negative. We ain’t had anything positive all season. It ain’t gonna change now. Resigned to the NS, but will get season ticket. That’s positive
