A while ago, somebody here said 'we have a low football IQ'. Successive managements throughout the season have bemoaned the players inability to follow instructions on the pitch. There is something wrong with a squad than is unable to relate to its coaches. Whether they are simply bad players, football wise a bit thick, or a bit thick generally, is hard to tell, but right now, it feels like the revolving door needs to keep turning. It was me. When it comes to football savviness we have a lot of dunces.

£7.90 train fare £3.80 lunch £9.57 pre match beer £18.00 to get in £39.27 in total For that money I want a performance not an abject surrender to a team that were pretty average in my opinion. If you multiply that by 630 fans some of which would have spent more ,some less, then you get about £27,000 wasted by our supporters on the biggest pile of shit I have seen this year. I am a season ticket holder but I cannot see myself being there Tuesday to watch us get beaten by Halifax as today has really pissed me off. Part of the reason why I didn't go (15%) - but mostly because I don't like the Bromley away fan experience (69%) and we are piss poor in Derby games and against Bromley in particular (16%).

What shocked me was the lack of fight by too many players. There were exceptions but once again we surrender in a Kent derby. John Still will turn it around.

Simon Walton is raw, inexperienced, lacking qualifications and without the knowledge and network to succeed at managing a team at this level or even the next 2 levels downwards. I say this as somebody who actually likes and respects the man. To argue that we should have gifted him the job as manager would have been madness in the extreme. He has so much to learn from the new management team we have in place. If you don't believe me, ask the man himself. Simon is a realist who understands his apprenticeship role. Wolvesstone thinks that after a couple of weeks of the new management set up, our owners have made another cock up. Sorry wolvesstone, but your opinions on who the club should have appointed are totally delusional and out of order. Yes the team is shot away and we can expect further sticking plaster changes this season as we prepare for life in the National South. But Terry and Oliver have got this appointment 100% right. John Still is the right man.

John Still has to be the man for the job because he’s here until the end of next season.
First time I’m genuinely considering not going Tuesday night. We haven’t won at home for 6 months in the league and I’m just tired of the same dross with different players and a different manager. Do I go in the blind hope we will win? Maybe...will I still turn up next season for the NLS? Yes

Well there is little left to say after yesterdays shower of shite, I dont mind when my team lose a game after all these years as a stones fan I got used to it especially this year. But what I cannot understand and cannot tolerate is when the players dont appear to even try to win a game. I want to see the players give there all whatever the result may be. Personally I am now for the first time having doubts as to if I will be going to Tuesdays game. And thats from a fan that does more than his fair share of supporting up an down the country.

I agree with you Steve ,John Still WILL turn it around given time and I am slowly calming down after losing it yesterday. As to whether I am there on Tuesday well that decision maybe have been taken out of my hands as I am in so much pain today I may not have the strength to go but doubtless being the idiot that I am I will probably try and then regret it especially as I have to use 2 buses and then a taxi to get home it really takes a lot of effort for midweek home games.

Fair enough jakeyboi, up to you if you decide to stop supporting the club for the rest of the season and give this forum a break too.
As for the very poor performance from the team yesterday, do you really blame our defence for not trying hard enough ?
Or our forwards who had nil service from our midfielders ?
Come to mention it, our hopeless midfield opted out of tackles, passing, second balls, headers and helping out our defence.
Not a single player from our midfield (no need to name names) deserves selection on Tuesday night but that is not an option for JS.
Despite all the misery I would like to say I will be there Tuesday, but unfortunately work says no.
As a ST holder my attendance will be counted in anyhow.

Was I the only one to notice the Bromley's defenders mostly cleared the ball to one of their own players even when clearing it long to their forwards? We however cleared the ball upwards or sideways off the pitch far more often.
Our midfield must rightly take major responsibility but the defence were far from blameless.

No I noticed this as well. They won virtually every second ball contest which showed they wanted it more. We basically had no plan

We basically had no plan It wasn’t by accident either In the warm up they had the back four practicing receiving the ball at pace on the edge of the box and hitting it to a coach on the halfway line They were all very good at it - particularly the left back who the keeper kept giving the ball to in space from goal kicks

Deary me the bloke has inherited a mess of a team and only been here a couple of weeks, yet your already questioning that he was the wrong appointment. The bloke is one of the best non league managers of the last 30 years but not even he can pull off a miracle and save us from the drop.....the damage was done well before he arrived. Christ sake let him build his own team and have a full pre season before you start moaning. Its clear as day John was brought in with an eye on next season and rebuilding us in the National South. I'm sorry but it seems to be terminal decline despite already having seen six new players in. Walton would have been an eye to the future and, yes, relegation, but re-building from a point of view of a local team, not a constantly rotating door. Echoes of Harry I'm afraid. Are you Piers Morgan in disguise because you certainly sound like a t**t to me!

I didn't see the game yesterday. I know he was only on the pitch for a short time but has anyone go a viewpoint on Amaluzor? Sounded like he added something positive attacking wise.
