It has taken JS only two weeks to work out what we already knew WE ARE SHIT![/quote]
Pretty sure he already knew how bad we were when he watched us struggle to draw with ten men at Dartford in the KSC. The problem is that since then, even with several new players, things are little if any better. No matter how good the management, things are unlikely to improve now until next season, following a root and branch pruning of the entire squad, with no more than a handful staying, for all the obvious reasons. Say all this in the faint hope that the team will suddenly play out of their skins tomorrow night and surprise us all. Ain't holding my breath though and even if the unexpected did happen, could they follow it up with similar performances to the end of the season?

Think the players body language tells us that they are already resigned to going down.

Simon Walton is raw, inexperienced, lacking qualifications and without the knowledge and network to succeed at managing a team at this level or even the next 2 levels downwards. I say this as somebody who actually likes and respects the man. To argue that we should have gifted him the job as manager would have been madness in the extreme. He has so much to learn from the new management team we have in place. If you don't believe me, ask the man himself. Simon is a realist who understands his apprenticeship role. Wolvesstone thinks that after a couple of weeks of the new management set up, our owners have made another cock up. Sorry wolvesstone, but your opinions on who the club should have appointed are totally delusional and out of order. Yes the team is shot away and we can expect further sticking plaster changes this season as we prepare for life in the National South. But Terry and Oliver have got this appointment 100% right. John Still is the right man. They are not delusional, perhaps optimistic. I hope Stones stay up but why can't the management team organise the team? I'm afraid it seems to be getting worse. Good result against Salford at home though. I am looking forward to a good game on Tuesday, perhaps 2-1. But I don't think it'll be particularly down to the management team.

Imagine what the attendance would be if we were any good and had a big enough stadium.

Think the players body language tells us that they are already resigned to going down. Maybe what they need, at this point in time, is to get into the psychological frame of mind that they are already relegated, and actually believe it. How many times have we seen a team start playing well, and getting results once relegation is a mathematical reality, often producing playoff form. It's as if a weight is lifted from the team because there is no longer any fear, as there is no longer anything to loose.

As I have said on another (Halifax) post, whatever way JS and HH want to play the Psychology, they need to play it and play it NOW so that we come out of the blocks fighting tonight. The fans deserve it, the owners deserve it, and JS and HH still need it or else what faith will any of us have in them to get us out of NLS next year? We need to keep fans engaged and our attendances high to keep the money coming in - that means delivering some performances to cheer about - win or lose - and use whatever psychological approach JS needs to take with this team to make it happen. If it were me, I simply wouldn't pay anyone who I felt didn't play to maximum effort and to the best of their abilities, buts that's probably why I am not a professional Football Manager (amongst other reasons!).

Yup, JS and HH need to put on their scariest faces and invite each player into their office for an individual chat. SW will be standing by the door with a pick axe handle. Look each player in the eyes, or recruit Anne Widdicombe to do it in ultra scarey mode and say: 'Right, sunshine. Are you up for this or not?' Any hesitation and they get shown the door and told not to come back. Anyone left is in the team. Simples.

I am sure SW doing a Vinnie Jones on their nether regions on the way in would suffice. You also missed the key bit from JS and HH - "Right Sunshine are you up for this or are we saving the club your paycheck this week". Yes, we jest. Maybe just a friendly fireside chat from Uncle John and Cousin Hakan assuring them all that they are good players really and they are loved and they really can win games if they just try is enough. Frankly I don't care - I just want to see eleven players in Black and Amber who look like they want to be in the shirt. COYS!

Stonestv at last available, but doesn't show a single shot on target from us and just one piece of play in their half. Can only think this is a ploy to embarrass the team into action tonight. What is does show, is that our defensive set up is to keep as many players behind the ball as possible and allowing them to move it around at will. Same in the Fylde game. Trouble is, when we finally do get a kick, we've forgotten how to do it!
