The one thing Worner has over Worgan is that he has a decent long kick out. Not much use when nobody left upfield though.

To put things into perspective just how big of a mess we're currently in, we need to win 9 or 10 out of our last 19 games!! we have won 6 league games all season. We're the lowest goalscorers in the league, we have no attacking threat, the team needs strengthening yet again in key positions and we play dreadful hoofball that doesn't suit our squad of small players.
We need a miracle to turn this situation round.

To be honest, I don t think you can get away with having 4 different managers in a season and expect to be taken seriously.

First half we looked good and played some good attacking football. Not sure what was said at half time as second half we went so defensive and seemed like we didn’t want to go forward. Seemed like they would of been happy with a point. Absolutely ridiculous as we need goals and I thought you wanted them to enjoy their football. Cassidy was on his own up front second half trying to do everything. You could just see that with so many set pieces against us that it would be just a matter of time before one went in. I’m just disappointed that we didn’t go for it. Rather lose playing attacking football than watching us defend so deep and lose to a rubbish set piece again. So depressing watching us at home at the mo. Things need to change quickly. The owners need to choose a manager that will be with us next year even if we do go down so if the owners are going to keep Lewis and Walton in charge then the they need to let them get players in as well that will be with us next year as I really don’t see us going on a 5-6 game unbeaten run that will give us a chance to stay up. We just don’t beat the sides around us plus not winning at home and scoring doesn’t help either. Now that we have lost Cassidy I bet we still play the long ball rubbish on Saturday to Robinson and romain. Dover were shite and only had one tactic and that was kick it long to the big guys. They just know their roles and are grinding out results. We can’t do that. Annoyed but hey ho onto the next one. Good post. It was noticeable that we always left a couple of players upfield when defending set-pieces in the first half, but everyone was in the area in the second half. How do we hope to break and score if every player has to run the length of the pitch? If that wasn't a deliberate tactic (and I fail to understand why, if it was), then the management need to have a word with the players. The management did try to leave a player forward did you not see them shouting at Paxman who just did his own thing.

But it wasn't Paxman who was left upfield in the first half, it was mostly Cassidy and one other (Romain?).

We simply are yet to adapt to this league. Not unique in that, of course. Guiseley, NFR, Torquay, Chester, York, etc have all come and gone, or just passed through. Equally, the likes of Sutton, Bromley, FGR, etc have prospered and not always just down to money. We need to learn their secret and quick, though I fear the great escape of our first season may already be beyond us.

It's not rocket science - you only win games when you score goals - and you don't score (enough) goals when you haven't got a decent striker (or two). Our (few) good times in the NL have been when we had decent strikers - once they've gone we've struggled.

We've scored a pitiful 23 goals in 27 games and that is with Blair scoring half of them!! just imagine how much worse we'd be if we didn't have Turgott.

Sword. In the first half we were OK.
In the second half we just sat deeper & deeper. Their corners and throw ins were a constant threat and then as all around me were predicting we concede and our lack of pace , wide men and forward thinking options besides an exhausted Cassidy consigned us to the inevitable defeat.
Dover had more attacking options from the bench which they used to good effect.
We are in a world of trouble and unless the cavalry come soon we must regroup under the stewardship of a wise manager with the hunger to still succeed who can enable us to regroup in the South.

To late for the cavalry my friend. One good performance every 3 or 4 games is what we can realistically expect where we need a good performance and 3pts every other game it's just not going to happen.

Just before his injury, Blair Turgott had started to pass the ball more near the opposition goal. Get him back doing that and we have a chance. The way he pushed his body and legs to their physical limit to get past one more player reminds me of Flisher, and may be his long term downfall.

Keeper and defence are fine although noticeably weaker when McLennan went off. Midfield still is a big problem as Pax was at his infuriating worst giving possession away on a regular basis, Powell went missing in the second half, Tajbaksh lacks composure & Muldoon was invisible for most of the game. As others have said, lack of goals has been our big problem this season. With hindsight, Walton & Richards should have come on for Pax & Tajbaksh at around the hour mark.
I think the Hess has signed Lewis & Reason just to help them avoid the drop this season but he won't keep them next season. They would be good signings for us next season as we battle for promotion from the NLS.
