How many shirts dies Effiong need. Spent all afternoon trying to get De Havilland's off him. I reckon Effiong's nickname should be ' the octopus ' or something like that, because at every opportunity in every challenge he had arms flailing away at Stones defenders. Just a disgrace, and piss poor from the Officials allowing him to get away with it all game. Been saying it all season.

Thought Lewis,s behaviour in the club house after the game was disgusting irrelevant of what was or was not said he should of walked away. Gone down in many peoples estimation after todays incident.

Personally think Walton is of more use on the pitch than off it, could he not do both roles an still play?

Phew! I thought you meant Tristan! Shame but like with Zidane you don’t really know what someone may have said to Him. Move on he’s not part of our future now. We have to get behind the team we have and for Bill Tristan and Simon to make right decisions on remaining 3-4 players we need and to avoid the drop.

Disappointing result today but hardly unexpected. It's gonna take a while to unpick Harry's recruitment policy, and in the meantime we are left with a very unbalanced squad. I suspect it's gonna be a hell of a struggle until we get a target man to replace Cassidy. Maybe we'll have to learn to keep the ball on the deck. There was one sublime passing move in the first half so we know that can do it. I agree with you 100% daveu. Our defence looks fine, midfield still comes up a little short and up front we are not good enough and seriously lacking width on both flanks. After all the Wheeler Dealings !

Should of made it clear sorry it was Stewart Lewis who was acting all "Billy Big Bollocks" Ah thanks for the clarification Jake (& I'll second Oldyboy's "phew").
Great use of the phrase "club house" by the way - proper!
Obviously I wasn't there and didn't see it, but I'd tend to agree with your "why even bother going in the club house." - From some of the posts on here I think he has been unfairly lambasted for "gamesmanship" that would have be celebrated if he were still wearing the Black and Amber, so he was surely on a hiding to nothing and I think we know he's pretty passionate about his football. No intention there to defend whatever his behaviour was, but as you suggest the big mistake was probably to put himself in that situation.

First half we looked good and played some good attacking football. Not sure what was said at half time as second half we went so defensive and seemed like we didn’t want to go forward. Seemed like they would of been happy with a point. Absolutely ridiculous as we need goals and I thought you wanted them to enjoy their football. Cassidy was on his own up front second half trying to do everything. You could just see that with so many set pieces against us that it would be just a matter of time before one went in. I’m just disappointed that we didn’t go for it. Rather lose playing attacking football than watching us defend so deep and lose to a rubbish set piece again. So depressing watching us at home at the mo. Things need to change quickly. The owners need to choose a manager that will be with us next year even if we do go down so if the owners are going to keep Lewis and Walton in charge then the they need to let them get players in as well that will be with us next year as I really don’t see us going on a 5-6 game unbeaten run that will give us a chance to stay up. We just don’t beat the sides around us plus not winning at home and scoring doesn’t help either. Now that we have lost Cassidy I bet we still play the long ball rubbish on Saturday to Robinson and romain. Dover were shite and only had one tactic and that was kick it long to the big guys. They just know their roles and are grinding out results. We can’t do that. Annoyed but hey ho onto the next one.

It was noticeable that we always left a couple of players upfield when defending set-pieces in the first half, but everyone was in the area in the second half. How do we hope to break and score if every player has to run the length of the pitch? If that wasn't a deliberate tactic (and I fail to understand why, if it was), then the management need to have a word with the players.

I think the reason we pack the area when defending set pieces is because we have a keeper who is rooted to his goal line. People moaned about Worgs not commanding his area but he did come for set pieces. I wouldn't call Worner a liability because he's clearly a very good shot stopper, but if he won't come for anything we will always struggle to defend set pieces.
