According to Oliver, No deal with the council as yet but progress has been made. Hopefully a deal in the next couple of weeks. Which subject to funding opens the door to the Riverside development.
Very busy times on and off the field and credit due for making progress in what had seemed like an impasse and a breakdown of negotiations

Have a charity auction and have your hair cut for it !. We would definitely raised the money needed to fund the new stand !!. By the way , it's said in jest ... Before the Russian , Chinese and whoever else he wants to be , butts in !! 🤣🤣🤣 Yer come on Dave let's brave the shave together... Come on Dave let do it let's brave the shave together. Theirs loads of people who would pay to see them golden locks come off.

According to Oliver's programme notes, they plan a capacity of 6,000 with 2,000 seats, don't have the funding in place, but do have a plan to raise the money to be announced soon. In light of the Ebbsfleet situation, our owners have always taken the right decisions at the right time, and deserve our patience while planning a sensible long term future.

Too many here have never studied Greek mythology - We are not and with never be the Icarus of non league clubs. We have owners who learn from our own history.

It must be expensive paying off managers and bringing in new blood, not offset by a few departures from the wage bill. A few quid extra from the FA Cup would be nice right now.

Having just read Oliver's article would suggest the club would be better off in concentrating on becoming a decent national league club first cart before the horse springs to mind.

Having just read Oliver's article would suggest the club would be better off in concentrating on becoming a decent national league club first cart before the horse springs to mind. The trouble with that plan is that it is annually more expensive to finance a competitive National League side, therefore whenever you carry out the development the problem will remain but will likely be worse when kicking the can down road, however the redevelopment itself is more of an expense albeit huge, but will add value increase capacity especially seating for which there is demand. Once completed the benefits can be reaped without the cost while then focusing on the playing staff costs

I remember hearing the Riverside will have 600 seats, Elvis End has 1700 standing, Mains Stand has about 700 seats and standing for 300 (?), so a new Town End might need 700 seats and terracing for 2,000. Maybe a two-tier stand. Hopefully that would mean separate stands for home and away fans behind each goal.

If your figures are accurate then the new riverside stand will take our capacity down to 3300 from 4100 .

What is the current Riverside capacity? I thought flat standing could only count as one deep? A new stand could be quite self-financing due to demand for covered seats and being able to charge more for them. It's a two-tier Town End stand that would challenge current finances.

Hopefully we get to hear some news about the riverside stand soon as this has all gone quiet.
