Very honest and enlightening.
1. Admitted that we've been bloody awful (especially at home) and it's been a miserable season. 2. Season tickets haven't provided value for money. 3. Little or no profit - intimated that we may have not got value from our signings. 4. The performances must improve - otherwise a downward spiral. 5. Jay's staying - I'll keep my silence on that one. 6. May be a bit more money for the playing budget. 7. New stand at the end of 2018/19 season - 600 seats.
He shares the fans disappointment this season.

What you'd expect, but good for him nevertheless. After this season, really hope we can be much stronger at home in future. More goals scored and more clean sheets. Not much to ask?

He is a switched on fella and we are lucky to have him! It shows he is in touch with the majority of the fans. Looking forward to having that stand, will make the ground look much more balanced and professional 👍🏻

Any details of the new stand - number of rows, length, height, etc?
After endless games of staring into the sun, I would jump (well, theoretically) at the chance to sit on the other side - but only if it's at least 3 rows high.
I didn't think the season was that bad, no need for Oliver to feel miserable. This is football, some seasons are good, some are bad. We've only just started to experience that because we had such a rapid rise, but now we've (almost) found our level, this is what it's going to be like, until we can afford to spend more on players.
I hate watching poor football, and losing, but it would have to be a lot worse than this season to keep me away from JWW.

Finally I'll be able to moan about the Main Stand!

Someone else, anyone else, enlighten him. The team didn't stop existing because he stopped bothering and we had good and bad seasons.

Well said Oliver. Great to have you in charge (and Terry of course).
Fact is that Jay will be under pressure to strengthen the squad and improve results next season.

The worrying point is number 3; little or no profit. We know football is a bottomless pit to throw good money after bad. But somehow we convinced ourselves we had cracked it with the plastic pitch business model. No profits and lower season ticket prices mean a potential downward spiral if not handled very carefully. Jay is going to have to continue working miracles on a small budget at the lower end of the league. He and the owners deserve our continued support, no matter how tough that feels at times.

The little or no profit bit was what concerned me the most too. Financial stability always worries me more than anything that happens ON the pitch.

It depends what level that little/no profit comes at. If it comes after ploughing a load of dosh into paying for stadium redevelopment then it is less worrying. If it is purely the day-to-day running of the club then yes, not so good. If I had had my thinking head on I would have picked up on that. He did mention the academy not doing so well this year. I think the comments about accepting a level of National League as accepting a realism that doesn't seem to have existed since 2012. We have healthy crowds of 2,000+ but we ain't that big. If you combine the points that myself and Toon have been debating and put that alongside Oliver's we could curtail some of our ground development ideas for a bit and put more to the playing side to be an OK National League side. develop more slowly.

Only guessing, but it seems probable that the move to full time will have coincided with an increase to the players budget. Maybe that the reference to'value' was an indication that the full time aspect didn't reap the benefit expected. Add to that some players disappointed in their contribution. Perhaps there will be more changes in personnel than anticipated.
Club still committed to building river side stand at the end of next season. Excellent !

While I welcome the building up of the ground, I do accept some of what Toon said in that he doesn't want to have a great ground in the Conf South. If we need to divert funds to playing staff to cement ourselves in the National then so be it. I welcome the idea that maybe the EFL is a pipe dream at the moment. Maybe we could simply save some budget towards developing the Riverside and do it a bit later, especially as crowds have dropped a bit. It would be depressing to have small crowds rattling around in a 6,000 stadium. The sort of infrastructure I am more interested in would be decent facilities (maybe having proper toilets at the Town End for example).
