A good battling performance with some reasons for hope up front. Coker, turgott and Ross look a step up from what we had. Another howler from worgan and several other poor bits of decision making from him. It was fascinating to see Lewis's anger with him when he came miles out of goal to give no choice but to let the ball run out of play for a throw in. Surely this is the position most in need of an upgrade? Alot of people saying Worgs is costing us but dont see anyone coming up with names as a replacement. If a keeper makes mistakes its more noticable ,Maybe some of the people on here should see Jay and put their own names forward,

If you lot keep having a go at Worgs don't be surprised if he decide to go and play for Margate next season. I can't see any of you suggesting of a replacement ... Any names to put forward from the moaners ?!?. Blimey you are starting to sound like me but without the english accent !

It's not difficult to suggest replacements if people want to do so, seems a bit of a strange argument, though.
Not that I want rid of Worgs, but I'll start this fun game of yours with Paul Jones of Norwich, 31 years old, out of contract in the summer having been backup there for a couple of years. Born in Maidstone, raised in Snodland.

I'm not jumping on the band wagon of get worgs out. If he was to go there are some good keepers in this league, who are available in the summer, Scott loach, Grant smith, Ross worner, Nathan ashmore. And numerous league 2 keepers aswell.

There are lots of good keepers available. To sure us up until the end of the season I'm sure we'd get a third choice keeper from championship level. We could then look for a suitable permanent replacement. Worgs current behaviour/ performances/lack of communication has unsettled the whole defence. One or two significant errors is acceptable, double figures are not!

The fact that Worgs got us into the NL and has been a fantastic goalie for us through three leagues/divisions, and is the only surviving player from the early days, is much to be grateful for. And he deserves, and will always have, our respect and thanks for all that.
But unfortunately, that alone is not enough to justify his place in the squad - that can only be based on his ability and performance. Just as with all our other great players, there will come a time when even Worgs has to go.
He certainly has been erratic this season, but is that down to him, or the loss of confidence in the players in front of him? Only Jay can call that one - and when it does happen, it will probably be the hardest decision he's ever had to take.

I think everyone needs to remember how well Lee played last season - he showed then that he isn't out of his depth at this level. Unfortunately he has dropped from those standards this time round and his errors have probably led to a dip in his own confidence, which in turn makes him vulnerable to further errors. I for one hope he recovers it before the end of the season, otherwise Jay might feel he has no choice but to let him go, which would be a great shame

Still ok in my book, but there is certainly an issue with the lack of distance he gets with his kicks. Pretty much every keeper I've seen in this league can hoof a goal kick beyond the centre circle and a kick from hand goes to the opposite penalty area if they want. At best, Worgan's makes the halfway line. The opposition have clearly sussed this out and therefore can play higher up the field and/or put more pressure on the short stuff. Not sure how he can remedy this, other than lots more practice and time in the gym, but while distance is a problem, it tends to make midfield and defense that bit more vulnerable and something of a vicious circle.

He may not get very much distance compared to other keepers but they are much more accurate
