So Sutton are flying high at the moment but we have a win and a draw there in our last 2 games, I'm going for a draw 1-1 with about 500 from Maidstone in attendance.

I agree with the score line but a sneaky feeling we may take a few more than 500. It,s not that far to travel.

Last season's equivalent game was the turning point in our recovery.
Not that that means anything, of course...

I think Saturday will be tough.
We need to start moving the ball quicker and involve the midfield far more, too often we are aiming straight at the forwards.
Hopefully with Reece and Stuart available we can push back on

Maybe they are going to announce a new player or something.

We will pull one back when 2 down but they'll be in control. Sorry. I've said before we'll take a while to get some consistency going this season, and they won't fancy coming to the Gallagher by the time of the return fixture by which time we will be firing!

Intriguing. With Bromley and Sutton flying in the league at the moment (yes I know it's early days, but still...), the issue of teams from our league not being able to go up with 3G pitches looms large - remember, there is also a rule that says promotion cannot be refused. This is not really tenable for clubs like ours where the entire business model is built around 3G. Imagine Bromley securing promotion this year and being told they have to rip up their pitch after just one season! Only speculation on my part, but I suspect the 3G alliance or whatever it is called these days, are cooking something up to try and get that changed. Maybe this will be a public announcement about that - we'll see.

Could be any number of things but interesting that it's a joint announcement by Sutton us and Bromley, I thought there was a fourth team in NL that also had 3g. Some possibilities: - 3g pitches have been approved by fa - 3g pitches have been rejected by the fa but an appeal is being lodged with the court of arbitration for sport. - 3g cup announced as a 3 team mini tournament with 2 games against each team 1 home 1 away, with a plastic trophy called el plastico. - a business venture set up by the three teams to market and sell 3g pitches to other non league teams meaning the 3 clubs make money sharing there experience and expertise. Or could be something else 😁😁

What was the final understanding of being able to take part in playoffs if you have a 3G pitch? Is it allowed? Punishable by death? I didn't follow it that closely.
Maybe as Sutton are flying high, they are thinking about the probability of them being in the top 7 and with Bromley going well as well some sort of appeal may be prudent.
