I don't like it and I think the club missed a trick here by not involving supporters. You have to be joking! This thread is already up to three pages with opposing views. If there ever were a supporters' consultation, we should appoint just two people to represent us - I nominate nws and DaveU, who should cover all possible angles... ...and saxons.

It's not about the design itself, it would have been as a focus group looking at the various options that the designer would have come up with. The designer would then have reported back to the commissioners (the Club) who presumably with an eye on sales would have taken that advice on board before deciding on a design.

At the next shareholders meeting of the club why don't you raise that as a future agenda item ffs, heaven help us if they ever change the toilet rolls or anything else do the supporters need to be consulted on that as well, the owners who have spent a fortune on the club and ground have came to a decision to change the badge, they haven't let us down yet so stop bleating on

One lion on our shirt, The Ryman trophy's gleaming. It will divide opinion but I like it. Makes a change from using the towns coat of arms like every other bugger does. jt, you've done it again. Spot on mate Thank goodness, no coat of arms or iggy - talk about 'all our yesterdays' The new badge is simple, retro and has great style But you probably need good taste to appreciate it

I think the new badge/club crest look great .But i would rather see MAIDSTONE UNITED,rather than MUFC im sure this could be changed/ammended before its official and stuck on the shirt.
Retro look and shape is good.
It incorporates the three stones as footballs and the twist of the river .After a season or two this will instantly be recognizable as our badge and not the towns badge.
Great from a marketing point .This is our own corporate branding,if we want to climb to higher levels its what we need to think of, Its what upwardly thinking football clubs do.
Tottenham have a cockerel and Arsenal a cannon ,go and look how many times those two clubs have changed the simple basic styles,of a bird and a gun .

Well they released one last month and the feedback wasn't great so they changed it to this.

I would of been happy the shield from the original badge, Red, Blue and Yellow, with the same "Maidstone United" banner underneath.

Although I think spurs' cockeral that you speak of is actually a sick pigeon.

I guess that it is called ' moving with the times ' but can't help thinking that if it 'ain't broke don't fix it '. Being an Old Traditional Maidstonian the old badge is the Stones one! I am sure folks will get to like the new look and it will be interesting to see how it looks on next seasons new strip. Great that the club are keeping the classier badge as the official crest of the Stones, though, for letter heads and on the stadium etc. If I remember right the touchline flags for the opening game at The Gallagher against Brighton had the real badge on them and looked the part ?!! COYS. P.S. Any news of when the East Thurrock game will be on the MUTV highlights ?
