All change in the Town End. Do we reckon part seat part standing? Or home and away sections? Is that why there's a big hole in the back? Please God it's not home and away. Any sign of new toilets yet?

It’s not just a barrier though is it? It’s also a big empty gap, with fences on either side.
Also it is at the end where “hardcore” (in the loosest sense) fans are lesslikely to be.
People wanted a GENCO for the stones and this is what you have.

Many have moaned that the GENCO was split in half and the owners have changed this. Also, the barrier at the GENCO didn’t have a proper barrier just a bit of fabric on the seats, this new set up has the same fencing as there is at Dover. Caged in basically.

According to Wikipedia, the Town End capacity is 500. So less than used to be housed in the away end.
With the gap and smaller section, that must be around 200 for away fans plus flat standing on the riverside.
Shame it was felt necessary to take some of the Town End, given that several hundred home spaces were freed up by removal of the barrier in the Genco.
The view obstructing wire mesh is grim, and you can be sure the barrier wankers will move there during segregation.
Weird the club didn’t mention it in their recent communication about ground changes. I believe it will be proved to be a mistake.

It’s an odd one. I mean, they’ll be a point where segregation starts and ends, whatever they do.

Had they given the whole TE to the away supporters, with a barrier just before/after the club shop, and access via the riverside corner turnstiles, and away fans allowed up to the TV gantry - as we had assumed - then there would be no point where the two lots of fans are next to each other, or are separated by a gap/barrier - ie can still see (and abuse) each other.

The one lesson we learned from the Genco barrier was splitting a stand in half encourages crowd disorder. Recreating that in a confined space with the added delight of floor to roof metal fencing is ridiculous. What they’re doing costs more, reduces capacity where terracing was removed, but doesn’t reduce the likelihood of violence. Imagine Yeovil fans in that tiny cage, with our kids a few metres away in their own cage. I won't be moaning. I’ll be quoting this post saying “I told you so”. They’ve made a grave error.

Another lesson they learnt was the ability to throw stuff, and push along the fabric “barrier”. With this, there two options are removed. You think “our kids”would cram into that small half stand rather than stay in the GENCO?
