We will show a handsome profit from the cup games and I am sure that plans are in motion to ensure that a huge chunk of it does not go the the Revenue man.
The obvious solution is to invest in improving the ground. There will not be enough to build a new Genco and probably more than enough to build a Riverside Stand.
Does anyone know if we can get a grant from the Football League towards building a new stand? If there was a big enough grant perhaps a Town End stand may be a possibility. Unless a new owner invests, this is our best opportunity and would relieve the pressure on the Genco.

I have it at £650,000 plus £200,000 future gate receipts and £100,000 if TV show the next game. Minus tax, new pitch, toilet block, gantry, last year’s losses. Could be less than £500,000. Seems a new Town End was always favoured, but still well short of what would be needed, www.kentonline.co.uk/maidstone/sport/stones-seek-investors-216599/

Not sure you need to factor in last years losses (which comes out of cash reserves) and def not all the cost of the new 3G (sums have been put aside annually). So there may not be so many prior commitments as you estimate. River bank stand could be a runner for sure or at least maybe !

I'll go for that Dan the town end will cost a lot more so get the riverside done whilst cash is available.

The pitch is already paid for, money would have been put aside and cuts in the playing staff budget would have been cut to cover the pitch.

Its very disappointing to hear the club has been run at a loss even before the pitch has been paid for. Its not like we threw any real money at trying to survive last season and with the artificial pitch, we must make some decent money hiring that out along with other facilities.

Doing the town end first would block access required to develop the river side. Before either there will be smaller infrastructure projects, new toilets for the town end for example.

I thought we was led to believe the club was run sensibly, new pitch is 250k, have they really lost that much money, or they taking back money for themselves? I've no idea what to think, what are peoples thoughts on that.

My thoughts are I’m just glad to have a club to support in town, that have made a profit ten years in a row, while expanding the stadium three times, and enjoying a ridiculously amazing cup run.
If I could run the club better than the owners, I’d be the owner instead of the owners.

It was only last season the club was run at a loss. Basically down to increasing costs and falling revenue. Problem is that meant zero contribution towards a new 3G surface, hence a deficit for the project. Worse still cash reserves were run down to keep the club running. Happily this season's cup run couldn't have come at a better time and gives a huge boost to the coffers. The riverside stand would def swallow it up.

So would signing National League players next season if we got promoted. Promotion is a money pit.
