£120,000 prize money for beating Ipswich. Maybe £650,000 now, plus whatever the next round brings. Fag packet reckoning or not, we should notice some capital projects other than the pitch and the scaffolding (which Ive not yet seen but should do on Tuesday) £650k should buy a fair bit of Capital Project- I think the Genco cost £750k But how much do we lose to the taxman?

But how much do we lose to the taxman? tax year 2023/4 Corporartion Tax is 25% on net profits
Also people tend to forget that VAT is payable on ticket sales which means VAT is £2 from every £10

How times have changed (very much for the better) - for the Sheffield Utd game we had a police escort to the game and were caged in on the terrace (and kept back until all the home fans had gone). Exactly the same as the Plymouth game except it was the coaches escorted and all fans kept back until all the home fans had gone

But how much do we lose to the taxman? Sadly, since Alfred the Great, the taxman has always taken an unfair cut- even off our pensions...which were already tax-paid. But lets not go down that path as it bores the youngsters!

Anyone on here in the home seats yesterday? I was too busy celebrating the goals to check if anyone outed themselves at that moment, but it must have been almost impossible not to! I went to the Gills v Leeds Cup game many years ago with a Leeds supporting mate. We stood in the old Gordon Road stand, surrounded by Gills - and in those days you did not want to be an away fan in the home end! He behaved himself very well for the first two goals, but, on the third one, he couldn't contain himself. I looked around in trepidation - we were mid-stand, so there was no easy way out - but luckily the Gills fans were too pissed off with their side's performance by then to care. Pretty scary moment though... I was in the away end that night, and if you want to hear about taking a chance, my mate Andy (still a Gallagher regular) is a scum sorry Man Utd fan and he stood with me among the Leeds fans Anyway, whilst I wasn't at Portman Road, I watched the game at one of the Elland Road fanzones and whilst there were plenty of cheers for Sam's goal, I definitely got some funny looks as I celebrated exuberantly at full time

Just going through my photos from Saturday, I managed to (just about) enlarge one to get this... I took it because, even at that stage, I was convinced they'd score and I wanted to catch the scoreboard before it said 2-2. Even half way through added time, I still couldn't believe we were going to win!

You can have mine if you want. I no longer collect cupboards full of old programmes.
