I see Ipswich away end has a capacity of 1,900.... I think we will be more likely to sell 1900 hundred than Ipswich to sell out home end ( many season tickets holders might miss this one) So hopefully more than this will be made available for Stones fans. Also isn't there something in FA cup rules/guidelines about a 15% capacity away allocation ?

The rule is 15% which is around 4500 but it is a lot. I'd start with their usual 1,900 and see how we get on.
I know we all want the extra cash for TV but has anyone considered this might move it to an evening game which makes it much less attractive to go to?

But Friday or Monday means I can spend a night with Mrs Headstone at Woodbridge, see the match, and she’d still be able to go to her Elvis impersonator dance on Saturday night in Larkfield!
No, that doesn’t mean she has to dress up as Elvis….

Whilst anything other than a defeat is unlikely in the minds of most people outside of our fanbase, the fact is that it is 11 v 11 and anything can happen. Leeds famously lost to then fourth division Colchester at the very height of Revies's famous team, since then despite being a "big" club they have been beaten in recent years by Histon, Newport, Sutton Utd and even Crawley who bought on someone from TOWIE as a substitute. Never say never because one thing that has been noteworthy of Ipswich this season is that "they don't like it up 'em" and when things go against them their heads go down very quickly. Keep telling yourself that...

How things have changed... Some fans travelling by car to Ipswich on the 27th may notice something familiar about the journey as they approach the A14 junction with the A12. This time they'll take the 2nd exit on the roundabout and follow the A1214 towards Ipswich, but 15 months ago, they would have taken the first exit, the A14 towards Norwich - and, just 8 miles away, Needham Market. October 15th 2022 - FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round: Needham Market 1 Maidstone United 0 - the end of our FA Cup dreams for that season. January 27th 2024 - FA Cup Fourth Round: Ipswich Town v Maidstone United - the best we've ever done in the FAC. Not bad for your first ever year in management… Spoke briefly to the Needham chairman after the game up there to offer my congratulations, a great day for them (although we were terrible) Asked who he wanted in the next round:- "Ipswich Away" If you had told me WE would be going there in the 4th Round the following year?

The real Elvis is alive and well and lives in the so-called Genco.

£110,000 for live TV plus 45% of ticket sales Think you got carried away with your 0s.... 45% of ticket sale proceeds after expenses, which might include our travel, I guess...? I wonder how much TV will bring the attendance down....

Let’s say 45% of 25,000 x average £20 = £225,000 gate receipts.

That's great news - both for the club (money) and us fans -really didn't want a Friday or Monday evening
