I am happy for not to be on TV - bigger attendance, greater atmosphere and a Saturday Kick Off Saturday kick off not guaranteed even then. At least it wont (or shouldn't ) be a Friday or Monday evening game

Just to cheer you all up even more - after Saturday's performance, we'll probably have sold Covolan by the time we get to Norwich Ipswich.

Why is everyone obsessed with the money. Proper ground proper day out and better than Braintree at home

Proper ground proper day out and better than Braintree at home If at the start of the season someone had offered playing Ipswich away in the fourth round of the FA Cup, we’d have jumped at the chance. This will be one of the biggest games in the history of any iteration of Maidstone United. Ignore the glory hunters dreaming of playing Manchester United reserves.

It's sort of Watford without Elton John - and John Barnes...
But let's hope it's warmer than it was that day!!

Be nice if this once in a lifetime run leave a lasting legacy . Time will tell……..

Be nice if this once in a lifetime run leave a lasting legacy . Time will tell…….. They won't use it to "pay back the loans". Crazy talk. They aren't loans in the normal sense. O & T paid to build and extend the stadium from their own money, as an 'investment' in the club, and as fans. I'm certain they never expect a penny back until they sell. Having gone to all that trouble to keep MUFC alive and bring the Stones home, they're not going to risk it all by taking a few thousand back from their 'loans'. That money will be used for the club's benefit. I doubt it will even be used to buy players - that's hardly the sustainable model O & T have always espoused.

They’ve espoused a model all this time? Why do we never see her photo in the programme?

By the by - anyone thinking of going to Ipswich by train - it's probably not a good option. The only good news is that the stadium is near the station... Otherwise, a journey that should take an hour and a half by car (tunnel allowing), takes 3-4 hours by train and cost between £35 and £60! Let's hope that Tim can arrange a few coaches.
Unless the ghost of Jim Thompson puts on a train...

F*ck me.
How entitled are we being?? 2nd place in the Championship, 30,000 capacity stadium.
We’re Maidstone United in the 6th Tier ffs. Relish the day, it might not happen for another decade at the least. Will still probably be the biggest crowd the club has played in front of since reforming, let’s have a bit of perspective here. Sorry it’s not the superstars of Liverpool or city but it’s all in the luck of the draw.
Up the stones let’s take a big following to Portman road. Screw the negativity.

Couldn't agree more I'm really looking forward to it already. Also a very decent payday for the club too, not the jackpot but pretty good. Ipswich are a bigger club ( in terms of fanbase) than several prem teams (Bournemouth, Luton etc ..). Some of the negative comments on here are like someone getting 5 numbers and a bonus ball on the lottery and moaning ...
