Didn’t impress either on Boxing Day or today. Holds the ball up well but is slow and lumbering with the turning circle of a supertanker. Glad we didn’t sign him (if it was ever on the cards). Mmm ! Is this the same daveu who thought that those of us who said we relied 'too much' on Levi for goals were over egging it. As for the brother, I think he's decent and would get plenty of goals in a Stones shirt. Levi didn't always look great but he compensated with goals. George will recruit us a striker soon enough. He could do worse than Jordan. Jays take on todays game - www.youtube.com/watch?v=TuFenVg11CY

And? A goal is a goal. If you put in decent crosses those things can always happen. But some people can never admit that we played well. We played pretty well in places, better than recently. We just never looked like converting that into goals. The replay will probably prove me wrong, but that own goal looked far more like defensive errors than anything we did. And I wasn't convinced it was a pen. Unless we can pull a miracle on Saturday, we are going to get humiliated. I don’t think it was a pen either

We controlled the game and unlike 61666 I did not think Tonbridge looked like scoring in the last quarter. We will not have an own goal and penalty to help us every week so signing a goal scorer who is preferably over 6'3" is urgent. With suspensions and ineligible players does anyone want to offer a guess at what our team will look like next Saturday? Best result 0-0 and money from a replay. Agree mostly with this post and another big striker option up front to replace Levi would be welcome. Maybe Jordan Greenidge could be tempted ? Would get better service at Maidstone but is he good enough ? (I haven't seen him enough to say). Tonbridge fans say he is lazy and has an attitude problem.

Oh sorry, I see what you mean now

A win is a win, but no goals from open play. And our GD isn't doing us any favours. Our entire forward line today was the smallest player on the pitch. First goal was from open play Leave him alone he is still struggling with understanding after missing 20 years

We played well and controlled possession. This side has a system, which works well with everyone knowing their job. We know how Saturday will probably finish, but if we somehow create a shock, the financial and publicity implications will be massive. Not sure why “the best support in non league” were so quiet. Maybe just didn’t feel like it today, or dreaming about the cup.

Tbh I don't think our players recruitment should be driven by Tonbridge supporters who know diddly squat about football. Jay Saunders in the other hand know a good striker when he sees one and rates Jordan. JG will do for me.

Levi wasn't on anyone's radar until he came to Maidstone, so guess it is a case of how team George feel any new striker can fit in and maybe having your brother alongside might help. As for Saturday, if we play with discipline (and we already know that will be George's message), Stevenage might just get frustrated, especially the longer we can keep them from scoring - or keep it down to just one. Ship early goals though and we are in trouble.

Jordan Greenidge is a big target man and a proven goalscorer.
In a Stones shirt he would def be worth around 25 goals over a nls season.
No wonder Tonbridge supporters rubbish him.
Sign him up George !

So dismissive by daveu and so wrong.
Jordan is a good old fashioned centre forward with good height, strengh, holding ability and dare I say it - he scores goals.
For sure he had quiet games versus Stones, but put him in the amber shirt and he has the potential to be as prolific as his brother.
Hopefully George will ignore the MS whingers and get a deal done.

Prolific as his brother? Jesus are we getting desperate, perhaps they could share the same physio bench for the remainder of the season. I haven't seen much of Riess, then again nobody has, but a decent ref would have sent him off at Longmead as one of his tackles was delivered so late I thought it had a second class stamp attached to it. As for Greenidge scoring 25 goals in an amber shirt, well the thought is laughable if he was that good we would be well down the list of interested clubs and the fact I've heard of no other club showing an interest in him speaks volumes.
