A win is a win, but no goals from open play. And our GD isn't doing us any favours.
Our entire forward line today was the smallest player on the pitch.

Only able to watch on NLTV, but thought we looked in control from the moment the first goal went in. That said, why did the last 20 minutes feel tense, because for all their huffing and puffing, Tonbridge never looked like scoring. Unfortunately, neither did we - we really miss Levi and suspect that we would probably have got four or five with him on the pitch. Need a new striker....

We controlled the game and unlike 61666 I did not think Tonbridge looked like scoring in the last quarter. We will not have an own goal and penalty to help us every week so signing a goal scorer who is preferably over 6'3" is urgent.
With suspensions and ineligible players does anyone want to offer a guess at what our team will look like next Saturday? Best result 0-0 and money from a replay.

Agree mostly with this post and another big striker option up front to replace Levi would be welcome. Maybe Jordan Greenidge could be tempted ? Would get better service at Maidstone but is he good enough ? (I haven't seen him enough to say).

Thought it was a similar game to last week. We were the stronger. Scored a goal from the only time our wingers got beyond their man and then we did it a few times. Penalty wasn’t a penalty from my standpoint.
The second half was a mixture of us playing well, we created a few good situations and chances. Their inevitable efforts to get back in the game were thwarted by a mixture of terrible final ball, proactive keeping and a bit of luck but they didn’t create much at all.
I thought it was a deserved win but like JDL I’d like to be creating more clear cut chances.

He might have scored a few for us today. But he isn’t very mobile/ first half he barely put in a shift.

Holds the ball up well but is slow and lumbering with the turning circle of a supertanker. Glad we didn’t sign him (if it was ever on the cards).

Is this the same daveu who thought that those of us who said we relied 'too much' on Levi for goals were over egging it. As for the brother, I think he's decent and would get plenty of goals in a Stones shirt. Levi didn't always look great but he compensated with goals. George will recruit us a striker soon enough. He could do worse than Jordan.

First goal was from open play And scored by Tonbridge... And? A goal is a goal. If you put in decent crosses those things can always happen. But some people can never admit that we played well.

We played pretty well in places, better than recently. We just never looked like converting that into goals. The replay will probably prove me wrong, but that own goal looked far more like defensive errors than anything we did. And I wasn't convinced it was a pen. Unless we can pull a miracle on Saturday, we are going to get humiliated.
