Ha! That’s one in the eye for their vice chairman who wanted me to pay for a new sign in the gents. Just because I corrected the spelling of practise to practice (it was meant to be a noun) and even then it was a Covid keep your distance notice, ages after Covid was old news. Nothing like nursing an old grievance!

Another defeat for Dulwich, Hak's job surely must be at risk now.
Dulwich fans moaning about how the squad is far too big and how Hak still doesn't know his best 11...

I’m not so sure. www.urban75.net/forums/threads/cheshunt-v-dulwich-isthmian-prem-30-sep-2023.382829/Another defeat and all the Dulwich fans seem worried about is ticketing policies and bar service times. Don’t think they’ll go down, but any other club and there’d be trouble.

Southern league division 1 SW club Hamworthy United gave resigned from the league with immediate effect citing financial reasons. "In 2023 the grandstand was condemned after failing safety checks." (Wikipedia) And this season they've been playing at Weymouth's ground (30 miles away) - their average attendance more than halving from almost 200 to 90. They've had an unusually successful time recently. After poodling about in the Dorset and Wessex leagues since their formation in 1970, winning cups, but nothing much else, in 2022 they won the Wessex Premier Division, earning promotion to the Southern League Div 1 South. And they came 3rd in their first season, only losing in the play-off final. From the Southern League site: Club announce their intention to withdraw from the Southern League
There is sad news coming out of Hamworthy United this morning as the club have announced their intention to withdraw from the Southern League with immediate effect.
They have played six games in the Pitching In Southern League Division One South this season, with home games being played at the Bob Lucas Stadium, home of Weymouth FC.
“This decision has not been taken lightly,” said Chairman, Steve Mitchener, on behalf of the Board. “However, with the ongoing financial burden of being unable to play at our home ground together with the general costs of keeping a team in the Southern League, the financial position of the club has become untenable.
“In the best interests of the club we need to “re-boot” and concentrate on our Dorset Premier League team and the business.
“If this decision was not taken now, in a very short space of time there would no longer be a Hamworthy United Football Club which is something we could not let happen.
“Thank you to all the management team, players current and past, supporters and sponsors for helping us have a fantastic few years, the best the club has ever experienced.”And we think we've got problems trying to afford to stay in the NL...

Ramsgate are away to AFC Totton in the FA Cup 4QR on Saturday and have already filled 4 coaches and yet Tim is struggling to fill one. Poor show from us ,though it's three times the price and twice the distance so I can understand it.

Dulwich losing away to Billericay this eve. If they can’t turn it around I fear Hak will be in a sticky position there.

No. Dulwich fans are more interested in ticketing arrangements and chatting with their backs to the game than winning.

Chipstead fc, former Maidstone opposition, have quit, resigned, from the KCL premier division. Not 100% sure on why but must be bad to do it 3 months into the season. KCL officials ain't happy.
