Chipstead fc, former Maidstone opposition, have quit, resigned, from the KCL premier division. Not 100% sure on why but must be bad to do it 3 months into the season. KCL officials ain't happy. Cashed in their chips? I'm here all night...

Nuneaton have been forced to switch their home FA Trophy tie versus Hyde to the oppositions ground having been locked out of their own ground. The clubs future is now uncertain.☹

It amazes me how many clubs will run at big losses and get themselves into bother.
If you look at some of these stories they’ll invariably start by owing their owners and eventually that willingness ends or their money runs out.
It astounds me that the dim witted simpletons in our support that will question our owners approach. It is the main reason I am wary of any deals such as the Manchett one or any others that might materialise

Hmmm!

Don’t they have insurance or is it not worth claiming as It’ll push their premium up? Is the big stadium used for anything these days!

I believe Gillingham Town now play at Bourne Park. Sittingbourne have been at Woodstock Sports for about 10 years. The Shed End that was destroyed in the storm is the old Blakey’s Garden Shed from Bourne Park which they took to Woodstock when they moved.

Fancy owning a football club built on a swamp in the middle of nowhere? Well here is your chance as Ashford United is up for sale.

It's actually a nice spot with plenty of space...not for football in the winter though. Just too far out of town. What Hollingbourne could have been. Often thought Ashford should be a club bigger than Dover, Folkestone etc.

Ita not that bad swordy but its location is not easy to find in an almost semi rural position out of town.
Anyhow the facilities there for an Ishmian League club are above average and its run well enough with plenty of community backing.I have visited twice this season ! But it will take a brave person to invest their childrens inheritance.

I still have nightmares about the place and lost count of how many times I spent 2 hours on buses to get to the place only to be told its just been called off. I remember one game where the ref turned up ,got out of his car and stepped in a huge puddle then marched over to cigar smoking PBB and said the games off without even looking at the pitch.Happy days😁
