Chatham win their first Isthmian Prem game 1-0 v Bognor Regis in front of a crowd of 1533. I wonder how many were Stones fans not travelling yesterday.

I was one. Chatham lucky to hang on for the win, as they were outplayed in the second half. I admit I didn’t stay for all of the 12 added minutes at the end. Their crowd was 200 bigger than Ebbsfleet’s.

Are K Sports of the SECL about to fold? News reaching Swordy towers that KSports have closed down their clubhouse and immediately sacked all bar/hospitality staff. All staff are locked out and unable to retrieve personal possessions and no explanation has been given.

They were for sale a few months ago. The clubhouse has always been busy when I’ve been there, so would be a surprise. They also have a health club and rent out land for vans to park. Would be a shame if it became more houses.

At a time when most people are struggling to make ends meet Bishop Stortford of the NLN have scrapped free parking for the fans who are now faced with paying £3 to add to their matchday expenses .🤬

Not to be for plucky little Snodland, who lost 3-1 at home to Chertsey in the FA Cup. I was there along with 473 others to witness the historic day and yes they lost to higher league opposition but were not disgraced by any means. They have a good set up there,nice ground,lovely clubhouse which puts our soulless barn to shame alas same Shep beers but funnily enough a lot,lot cheaper than the ripoff Gallagher. They would need a number of ground improvements to move into the Isthmian but I envisage them doing that in the not too distant future. |
