Another chance to bounce back against lowly opposition, though arguable we are barely operating at NLS level at the moment. Can't make the game, but will the generosity of the NL mean it can be streamed? Having said that, not that bothered to be honest, but then it is only Wednesday...

Barely operating at NLS level ? Can't agree at all. Like it or not the current Stones team would def be pressing in and around the play off places in NLS, no question imo. The difference in the leagues is wide, as Ebbsfleet/H&W or others will find out next year. But Stones are only about 10 places above Worthies and whether they will be up for it, who knows ? Surely Hak will go for his first choice X1 !

To be honest I'm expecting this game to be off

Why would it be off, when we are at home?

Club shop was shut due to icy snow.
A slight warming on Saturday, but will it be enough to make the surrounding footpaths safe?

Why would it be off, when we are at home? Apparently the pitch is still covered in snow and the paths/walkways around the stadium are not safe. Yes things could change in the next few days, but with the weather reports showing temperatures are going to stay below zero for the next couple of days I'm not getting my hopes up.

Tonbridge was called off Tuesday for health and safety reasons and it is viciously icy out there. I can only walk on the grass or the road as footpaths are lethal ,I see no reason why Maidstone would be any better. If its on i might go but am in some pain at the minute.

Well I ended up missing Dorking as I couldn't get out and my car is still snowed in now.
Hopefully the road will clear by Saturday so I can get out if the game is on..

Went for a walk last night and the footpaths are still absolutely treacherous. Even if they did like Maidstone Hospital and cleared all the nearby walkways, people still have to get out of their homes and streets. Given the older demographic of many of our fans, not sure I would want the game to go ahead and then hear about forum members falling on ice or crashing their cars on the way to the game.

There is also a possibility that the slightly warmer air bringing the rain may start as snow as it hits the cold air, things may get worse before they get better. I have decided that the improvement will come too late and will not attend and to be honest i would rather save my money for the pub Xmas party in the evening. A nice warm pub, good beer and fantastic music v bitter cold , shit beer and a bunch of benchies being run ragged by my least favourite South Coast team . No real contest.

5c Saturday and no rain till Sunday. Whether or not that is enough to make a difference is another matter, I suppose. Pitches can be cleared, but whether it is worth the effort is debatable. They could build a team of snowmen and play them in a friendly. We might be able to win that one.😇

I’m guessing the Worthing game is off. Maybe the person moaning on the Worthing forum we didn’t clear the snow when fluffy could explain where you put all the snow from the pitch and walkways and car park and roads and footpaths within half a mile. And how many people it would take to carry out such a massive undertaking. rebelrebels.proboards.com/thread/4634/fa-trophy-thread-2022-maidstone?page=3

Real thinker that one. He realises we're a league above them, not in the prem, right? A team of a couple of people to not only clear the pitch, but the entire stadium and surrounding areas of snow and more importantly, ice? Sure.

There is no point playing it Saturday as its one of them games that your likely to get the same attendance on a midweek night as you would the weekend. With our current form I'd be surprised if we got more than 500 tomorrow so it's really not worth all that effort especially when mother nature will do it all by Monday.
