Was a bit strange when we scored our second and Corne was muttering to himself, presumably because he wanted Jack to cross? Then gets substituted with seconds to go. Maybe I’m imagining things that are not how they look. Credit to the small but vocal Worthing support; great banter and outsung the home end all night. Odd atmosphere tonight.

Not a good game but a win is a win. We looked more like a NLS side than they did and that is really saying something. So many players on off days again.
Galvins goal caught a lot of people by surprise. I was in the stand and it looked as though it went over. A lot of people around me didn't know whether to celebrate or not as no one knew it had gone in.
Interesting, Hak called Sol back to get ready to come on in the 82nd minute and then left him standing there for the remaining 10 minutes. Surely a 10 minute run out is exactly what he needs with important league games coming up. Very strange.

Indeed. The words odd and strange definitely fit tonight’s game in so many ways.

Going to get even weirder, with Notts County away in the next round. Will they care? Even if they don't, can we beat them? What sort of gate will they get for a cup none of their fans will care about, against oppositon they'll care even less about? Will the gate even be enough to pay for the game? I'm sure tonight we must have made a loss.

There's some real miserable sods on here tonight.. we won..clean sheet.. prize money..more next round.. players got minutes. It's christmas.. Were you at the game Steve? Not being miserable - we were singing at the end from the Town End and heralded the players at the end as true supporters do - but also we speak the truth as we see it in a deserted soulless Gallagher watching low quality football. That’s not being miserable just honest.

So, 2-0 then and off to Notts County. Credit to the die hard supporters, all 639 of them, who turned up. Presumably, we have more season ticket holders than that, or maybe there was nobody there at all? KM reports says Joe Ellul was injured in the warm up and Deacon played full back so Fowler could go in the centre. Booty given the night off, while goals from Galvin and Barham. Season tickets don't count for FA trophy, so if it says 639 that's how many were actually there.

So away to Notts County on a Friday night, probably, cos Forest are at home to Leicester in a big East Midlands derby on the Saturday ,oh and that will be Friday 13th. Unlucky or what?

I am predicting a 2-1 win, would like it to be stones but I'm thinking worthing will win it. Come on boys, prove me wrong oh well, consider me completely kicked in the gonads, where did the clean sheet come from?

A win is a win but as others have said, not particularly encouraging given that this was essentially the complete first team bar Booty, Lawson and Greenidge. Worthing were neat and compact and hit the bar in the second half in their best spell of pressure. However, they were NLS standard and we didn't really look any better than them.
Goal from Galvin was a fluke - a cross that went in. The huddle after was odd but my interpretation was that it was an attempt to gee up the team from JBW when they hadn't started well.
Odd atmosphere - but well done to the Worthing fans who kept up the singing.

Enjoyable game as Worthing were a pleasure to watch as they always played the ball out from the back. They just didn't have anyone who looked capable of scoring.
Stones were awful. The first goal was a fluke & the player's reaction was bizarre.
How does Pattisson keep getting selected? He was shocking again.
