Patrick Fitzgerald or Gerald Fitzpatrick? Or, were they from Bonny Scotland - Ben Doone and Phil McAvity...

Talking of rumours it seems that the club is seriously looking at a player currently registered with Shamrock Rovers. But has strong links to Maidstone. Can anyone put a name to him ? Looks like several of their current squad have played in the FL & NL, one even had a spell at Gillingham.

Can we assume this is unsegregated? Got to be a low attendance in the hundreds.

If the weather is anything like it is today, this will be very low hundreds attendance wise.
Was keen on this Saturday, but not sure I can be bothered to slog down and watch us lose 1-0 to a penalty...

Also reported that Joe Ellul has been sighted at Bromley yesterday. If a popular strong figure like Ellul goes to Bromley surely that confirms Hak has totally lost the dressing room and maybe it’s time for a change?

Joe was at Bromley watching Cray Wanderers v Billericay (one of his former teams) I hardly think Andy Woodman would be interested in Joe considering the 4 quality centre backs they posses. What is of interest is who he was at Bromley with. George Porter, another player who was a 'fans favourite but challenged the manager's authority and was shown the door.

Our players have long been at the lower end of National League pay scales; hence the fact we’re one of the only clubs in the country to make a surplus ten years in a row. I certainly wouldn’t begrudge them a cost of living rise, if we could afford it. To do so would mean reducing the squad size and increasing the chances of relegation, with a return to NLS wages. It’s a tricky one for all sides concerned. Not really tricky,we don't need 32 players so at least 10 of them could be moved on in January.A squad of 22 is ample for any club and the money saved could be given to the greedy side who are already on good money for half a weeks work. I think a few of pur support staff could bugger off as well and take their computers with them, if you want to know how far someone has run and how many times he's kicked a ball then open your f**king eyes and watch him,it worked perfectly well for over 100 years. Well that's my years at university wasted!!

There is a big difference between challenging the Managers authority and losing respect for him due to his constant or inappropriate criticism and possible lack of coaching ability at NL level which is where I suspect many players are at but of course it’s unlikely we will get know for sure as the Gallagher is as secretive and lacking transparency as the Kremlin in the 1960’s.

So, 2-0 then and off to Notts County. Credit to the die hard supporters, all 639 of them, who turned up. Presumably, we have more season ticket holders than that, or maybe there was nobody there at all? KM reports says Joe Ellul was injured in the warm up and Deacon played full back so Fowler could go in the centre. Booty given the night off, while goals from Galvin and Barham.

Awful game Stones not at all looking like an NL team and not even NLS standard at times but somehow got through.
As one of the 639 what I really want to know about is what was that very weird Stones players reaction to the first goal when they seemed to be turning their backs to the dug out and having a team gathering with no celebration?
Never seen anything like it so they must have been making a point but what was it?
I asked one if the team at the end what it was all about but he wouldn’t say but it was very odd indeed.
So very low quality football and Worthing should have got a lot more from it but we somehow got a win.
Also When we were only 1-0 up with a bench mainly made up of strikers Hak brought on Henry Woods. Interesting.
Good to be able to sing a bit for a Stones win albeit a totally unconvincing and undeserved one!
