Ok, this is a really stupid one and probably just a sign of my impatience...people who in slow moving traffic, when the car in front edges forward, wait until there's a massive gap before moving forward themselves.

Pisses me off too. Just drive to the car in front, stop and rest a mo. The Jeremy Vine Show on Radio 2. Can play half decent music and also has interesting contributors. Until the public ring in that is and then he lets them shout at each other FFS.

People, mainly Gym goers, walking up and down the exit ramp from the mall rooftop car park into king Street, when it clearly says NO PEDESTRIAN ACCESS Even though complaints have been made to the mall management who contacted the gyms, people are still doing it!

Folk talking about the cost of visiting the cinema reminds me why I rarely go. Pre - film adverts! They are so loud and in your face. Feel sure there should 'flashing images' warnings. Then there is what people take in with them to eat and drink. Dustbin sized containers of popcorn, Mexican food (why FFS?) plus bucket sized Colas. Then there is the length of the main feature. Seems like a minimum of two hours is the norm and three not unusual - with no break in the middle either. Surely 90 minutes to two hours is enough to tell a story, but no. We have to have multiple three hour sagas, like The Hobbit, or the new Dune film, none of which are discreet and instead mean you have to wait at least year before finding out what happens next. An interesting short feature, followed by a break to get an ice cream, then a 90 minute main feature would suit me fine. On the same basis, does anybody watch commercial TV live now? A one hour programme only lasts 40 minutes, because adverts last five and there are four slots an hour. Better to record and whizz through the dross.

It depends on the quality of the film.
You enjoy a well-made film, you endure a snooze fest.
Unfortunately, too many directors think the longer a movie is the better it is.

The BBC weather app sucks! It used to be pretty reliable, but of late it has become less than useless. Light rain today at 50% probability and 15c this morning. Right now it is 10c and has been pissing down for a couple of hours, looking filled in for a while yet. Don't what it is about Light Rain, but it rarely is. Time to install the Met Office app instead.

People you have not seen for years who suddenly crawl out of the woodwork, because they know you have been left everything in a will

Traffic reports for the Dartford Tunnel. Seems only queues that go back to at least Orpington merit a mention these days. Recently spent two hours to get through the tunnel (expected time 25 mins from my house). Matrix signals on M20 said ten minute delay Junction 3 to 2, but no mentions of half and hour from 2 to the far side of the tunnel. And, as usual, once through the tunnel, no hold up whatsoever on the other side. Why is that? Am sure it was better when the toll gates were there. Likewise, why is the Dartford Tunnel the only one in the country that convoys tankers through it???

Talking about matrix signals. Why are they still active ages after the incident has finished.

Neither the Met Office, nor the BBC currently unable to predict the weather even a couple of hours in advance. Currently, both say no rain, but it is pissing down. Both still have yellow warnings for thunderstorms today, but no rain in either forecast! Back in the day, the Idi Amin tapes were far better. 'Here am de weather forecast: we have just been up to the air ministry roof and it's pissing it down with rain. That am de end of de weather forecast.' Technology has not moved on much it seems.

Didn't the BBC sever its contract with the Met Office in 2018?
The quality of the forecasts has declined in the last 5 years.

Pissed down twice yesterday evening too - though without any thunderstorms - even while the hourly forecast said less than 5% chance of rain (Met Office) and 2% (BBC). On those odds, a bet on Stones winning the NL is worth a punt...
