People walking on designated cycle routes wearing noise cancelling headphones who then complain that it's somehow my fault they didn't hear me coming. I was cycling in a cycle lane in the subway between drakes pub and the river a few years ago, some silly woman came around the corner, walking in the cycle lane and I nearly crashed into her!

Hopefully, the impending (?) energy crisis will stop a few people accelerating past my house in low gear, high revs, maximum noise - though suspect most of them are too stupid to work it out.

Did anyone see the two knobheads having a race from the pedestrian lights before the Hamlet game? If not, you would have certainly heard them. I was walking from the Fremlins car park and the howl of two high powered engines being booted from the lights was not pleasant. Nor was the sight of them going head to head at at least 70 in a 40 zone, approaching a 30 zone at that - disturbing to say the least. With a bit of luck the plod will have felt their collar later. We can but hope.

Supermarket car parks in general - they are an accident waiting to happen. The logical design would be to put a pedestrian walkway between each pair of parallel parking lines. That way, nobody has to walk in the roadway. And he speaking of parking, why oh why do parents insist on loading their kids into the child seat from the road, instead of pavement side? Door wide open into the traffic, arse sticking out, both just waiting to be hit.

The Transport for London website, which could easily be described as a scam. Had to venture inside the North Circular at the weekend, so looked up to see if I needed to pay the Ultralow Emissions Charge. The website very much suggested I needed to pay not just that, but the Congestion Charge as well. However, it is the way it is worded. Several people I know, paid the charge in advance, when they didn't need to, because their cars, like mine, are actually compliant. Also, the UEC is £12.50 per day, all year round, while the CC more expensive and there are exemptions at the weekend. You can be sure they won't get a refund and, should they try to claim, the process will be long and tortuous. The moral appears to be, don't go to London, especially by car. It is an appalling urban nightmare anyway and the standard of driving makes Italian cities look sane. 👹👹👹👹👹👹👹👹👹👹👹👹👹👹👹👹👹👹👹

Don't know if there has ever been a thread on this, but while it may not match the music thread, there must be a lot of stuff that pisses us off and needs an outlet, maybe? Here are a couple of road based ones. Lorries should not be allowed in lane three of four lane motorways. Two lanes is enough. Lorry drivers should enable their fellows to overtake quicker, by easing off a fraction, instead of taking minutes on end, thereby blocking the dual carriageway. All drivers need to remember their cars have indicators, for a reason. Urban speed restrictions are not there for you to roar around at high revs in low gear. Quad bikes on public roads should be banned. There. That feels better. Your first one about Lorries is a rule of the highway code anyway www.gov.uk/guidance/the-highway-code/motorways-253-to-273 - Look at rule 265

People who walk along the road looking at their phone and not where they are going.
OK It gives you the funny walked into a lamp-post or wheelie bin,
but most of the time they just walk into other people barely stopping to apologise for being an ahole or they walk into the road and when they get tooted by a car who almost hit them they make out that the car driver was at fault.

I regularly use the four lane sections of the M25 and three lorries, line abreast, the outer ones inching ahead, is common practice. French autoroutes seem better planned than ours, with crawler lanes for lorries at the slightest slope. They have them on ordinary roads too. Shame our planners didn't think about that. Another thought: Vladimir Putin is a little thing - does Mossad have a real Zhiva David who could take him out? 🤫🤫🤫🤫

Able bodied people who sit in the disabled priority seats of a bus, then put their mobile phone on the seat next to them, then smirk at you when you stumble to the back of the bus with your walking stick

Car drivers who stop well back from traffic lights, spend the wait fidgeting their way forwards, but then promptly miss the lights when they change. Are they all on drugs? The same people clearly don't know what the hand brake is for. Use it, rest your feet and, especially after dark, stop dazzling people behind with your brake lights.
