Good job of making sense of things so far ….. I’m hoping Ibby Akanbi resigns too. By the way - I think Sutton’s a LB rather than an F.

Oh it was him, was it? I thought it looked like him, and moved like him, but he showed no improvement on what we've seen before, which was not much.

Who's on the "presumed gone, no news" list - Temelci, anyone else?

Some tinpot Swindon fans on social media have discovered we exist.
And aren’t happy about it.
But at least we have a new celebrity fan from, umm, Geordie Shore.

It's an interesting story with the Swindon fans. After seeing some of the abuse Curran received on twitter I had a look into it and obviously some of the abuse he has received is unacceptable but it has shed some light at the situation around the swindon ownership which I was unaware of. The owner Lee Power appears to be trying to suck out much of the clubs funds through his sponsorship and there are issues especially this summer around non-payment of players and really poor recruitment which led them to be relegated. Taylor Curran's dad appears to be mates which the owner and sort of in the midst of the crisis. The swindon fans basically suggest that Taylor was given a contract and played over better/younger players because of this connection. None of this is really his fault and seems to of become a sort of scapegoat given he is more in the public eye than these dodgy owners. I think they feel their plight is not covered in the media enough and the way it's going to be fair to them they could become the next Bury or Macclesfield. It seems to be two very polarised responses- one of people who feel sorry for the lad and want him to succeed with us and the other half who seem to think he deliberately went out to lose which is ridiculous yes the guy might be rubbish but I'm not sure any footballer goes out to lose. The maidstone team have be very vocal on twitter defending the boy which is great for team morale! Even if he was rubbish in league one he should be alright for us welcome taylor hopefully our fans are nicer!

And so it continues... Alhough it looks more like they could be the next Maidstone! All the FA and EFL rules and restrictions, and yet still this sort of thing is happening.

The fa/efl rules re the fit and proper owner do work. The problem is when the person tries to run the business and does such a piss poor job doing it, like budget setting versus income, knowing other financial obligations ie the cost of running the stadium, staffing, match day expenses both home and away, stewarding policing transport etc. Far too many people think that it is easy to run a football club but the biggest challenge is the financial side and making sure you are not generating stupid debts. Leeds under risdale had a crazy thing when the finances were leaked, £350 a week on the fish tank maintenance and fish food, who the hell were they hiring to do it.

All gone quiet again on signings after an impressive update to the squad over a short period of time. Where are we lacking? From a quick glance we're probably short of an out and out striker and maybe a centre back, but there are a couple of players in midfield who can drop back as I understand. Thoughts?

I think we are probably about we where want to be.
Probably all right for strikers, subject to fitness.
Maybe short of a big target man, but there again perhaps that's not a bad thing.
