Is Alfie Pavey not an out and out striker? Obviously a bit faster than Rendell or a shamrir mullings but I think he’s still at least 6,2

In recent memory we've gone for a bigger presence up front (Mullings, Rendell, Pigott, Quigley, May, Dumaka, etc.) whether that's height or in physicality, but if Pavey is 6,2 that's probably that gap filled. Akanbi is probably the... umm, 'physical' one in that mix if he does re-sign.

I have been trying to keep tabs on the squad for next season, if I have missed anyone or any details are wrong please let me know! It's looking a good squad with youth and experience. Pos Name Age From M Perri Iandolo 18 Academy Perri Iandolo has been quiet pre season due to injury, back in contention soon ( per this tweet ): ' perriiandolo10 @perriiandolo10 · 10h Gutting to miss all of pre season and the start of the season due to injury. an injury that I didn’t expect to take this long and to be this bad. Hopefully I will be ready to go back into training in the upcoming weeks and will be supporting the boys from the side on Saturday ' .

Anyone have Jake Cassidy on Facebook? Shall we all chip in to get Frannie Collin back on our books?

We do seem to have more than enough central and wide midfielders, just enough defenders and barely enough strikers Maybe. But it turned out okay in the end.

A totally reasonable point of view, but one with which I disagree. Stones are not in any way disqualified or ineligible from seeking to better themselves and aim for promtion to the National League. The NLS does not represent a natural home for the club or dictate a position from which the club must not rise above. Change forms a natural cycle in life events and it is better to aspire to better things than look backwards to achieve more modest aspirations. Living without risk is not an option. Luckily we have progressive and ambitious owners who have set their hearts on promtion to the promised land and keeping the club there until we are ready for the next forward step. Onwards and upwards is the aim and long may that continue to be the case. It's not about optimism, Nick, it's about money. Tell me how we can afford to get promoted (and stay in the NL) and I'm with you. Very prophetic.

I think we are probably about we where want to be. Probably all right for strikers, subject to fitness. Maybe short of a big target man, but there again perhaps that's not a bad thing. If we’re where we need to be by late July, everything will be fine.

An old post for sure.
Sign of the times when we have to trawl historic threads to find anything about new signings.
George's early efforts have ground to a halt.
The club seems to have hit the buffers.
Pre season starting with so many important team positions unfilled.
So disappointing.

Buffers of not, George has def experienced some setbacks in his efforts to recruit a seriously good playing squad for the NLS.
Still needed imo Keeper Defender 2 midfielders Striker (or 2)
So 5/6 signings needed to create a fully balanced and competitive squad.
With pre-season starting next week its not ideal

Reports that George has taken time out for his annual holidays may be true.
Some pics of him enjoying some leisure time seem to confirm it.
Everybody deserves a break but it may explain why news on the player recruitment drive has gone quiet.
Hopefully next week will get the show back on the road.

Bill's blog mentioned a signing committee I think, so just because George isn't out and about with a big net, it doesn't mean others aren't still trying. Suspect the words money and availability are behind the current hiatus, while in previous PSF, we get in trialists and make offers once we've seen them play in a team. So, no problem yet and expect it all to happen in the next 3-4 weeks.
