If the start of the season is handled as well as foreign travel, then all games will be abandoned at half time on the first Saturday, with all fans attending sent to internment camps for two weeks.π₯π₯π₯π₯π

You can always hum it. I heard humming prevents cover 19 infections according to Donald Trump

For the season too start on october 3rd every club is going to have too do alot of hard work for this to happen. As most of the test events happen after this date i think a november start will be the case. As for numbers in grounds in the NL its going to be season ticket holders only no walk up on the day and no away fans allowed which is a given, the only problem with this is what happens if a club sells more season tickets then they are allowed fans and not everyone has that sort of money to buy one at the moment. As for no matchday programmes most clubs need local companies to advertise in programmes and this could have a knock on effect as the season goes on. lots of things could happen in the next few weeks but i hope that the one thing that keeps us all going (football) can return and then we can all start moaning again like the old days.

Sad to tell you oldboy but the forum had moved on from the moany days of yesteryear. Nowadays, supporters are far more agreeable and enlightened, there is a sense of positivity in the air. Covid 19 has been an undeniable curse in so many ways, but at least it has brought a degree of goodwill and harmony to the forum.

and talking about goodwill and harmony, can I throw in a suggestion for our owners to consider. Next season is going to be a financial nightmare for Terry and Oliver. Reduced attendances, reduced sales of everything, reduced incone, same running costs. What to do ? Extreme circumstances require extreme solutions. As a one-off for the 20/21 season, hike admission prices by 20%, until until we get a vaccine. Needs must !

Hard choices ahead. But a hike in peices as a one off is something I would support too. This is not about the club making profits, its about stemming losses.

Tough answer to a tough problem. Not easy to suggest to supporters but it sounds about right.

If we are going to be spaced around the Gallagher, whats to be done ? Beer sales down along with everything else. If we have to pay a bit more to help the club through the season ahead I'm up for it.

Unless the owners lend the club another big wedge, we will all have to pay some more.

Take no notice oldboy, there are only a very few of the old school dinosaurs still to be found on the forum.
Maybe a few exceptions, but for the most part you will find well informed and wholly reasonable exchanges. Enjoy !

I still prefer my original suggestion which is to cut the budget and aim for financial survival until the storm blows over and then go for glory when it all settles down again. Hiking the prices may price some of our elderly supporters out of the games which is unfair. I have virtually ,90%, decided to give this season a miss and am unlikely to return until normality return, I therefore will have to get my footy fix from the lower leagues where attendances are lower, maybe Tunbridge Wells,Chatham or Sevenoaks. Maybe I'll pick a few early round games in the Fa cup, vase and trophy.

Likewise. Consider me loaned to Oxford City for the 20/21 season, if it's home / season tickets only.
