Fair enough jakeyboi, in a sense you are saying "go with your heart, not your head"
On this rare occasion I will doff my cap to you and declare "That's what I will do too".

I expect there may be a fair few that may not be able to afford a season ticket if they have been put on furlough, myself included, and it could be an idea to maybe do the half season ticket from the beginning (as well as full), and do it from December too. More people may be happier to do that.

I think no pressure should be put on supporters to buy a season ticket. I expect there may be a fair few that may not be able to afford one if they have been put on furlough, myself included, and it could be an idea to maybe do the half season ticket from the beginning (as well as full), and do it from December too. More people may be happier to do that. Maybe now whilst there is no activity as such at the club someone could look into doing something similar to a direct debit over say 10 months which in my opinion could possibly lead to more sales, lots of clubs sell ST with credit facilities attached.

Nope no pressure from the owners directly, aslong as they don't mention often about no income coming into the club as that could naturally make supporters feel like they should. Wasn't referring to pressure from other supporters. It was an off the cuff comment saying about pressure tbh but you catch my drift..

From a personal perspective, I won't be spending any more than usual, simply buying a season ticket without any guarantees of when or even if the season will start.

Alright, my mistake putting that but if you read my above comment I have said I didn't mean thats what is actually happening, just think it might do unintentionally as the season "start" gets nearer. Glad you can afford it Dave, hopefully plenty of others can to.

Stating the obvious maybe but as there is no activity at the club, how can anybody look into something or devise a direct debit scheme or anything akin ?
This furlough business means the club is shut down and there nothing and nobody.

This furlough business means the club is shut down and there nothing and nobody. This could be something that Bill could look in to maybe, whilst the activities on the pitch are at zero, he could look at maybe arranging credit terms for those that want them, maybe over 10 months maybe shorter, an that way as you say it could lead to a few more sales. I know lots of other clubs do a similar project so it cannot be too difficult. Surely anything that gets the club extra funds can only be a good thing right now. One of you on here must have more knowledge on this matter than I do.

Kahn has had some very good moments and its not all about that Blackpool goal. For the ten minutes he went all out at Dartford he transformed the game. He has looked a decent player nearly every time i have seen him Wow put that on his cv. Went all out for 10 minutes against Dartford, that'll have 'em queueing up to the library to sign him. OK, he was easily the best player on the park at Concord away but that got obscured by a very nice Matt McClure goal, played well and scored a corker at Blackpool, excellent ten mins against Dartford that changed the game at that point. Other games I have seen him in he has looked decent, just his general touch, positioning, strength and tenacity. League clubs were queueing up with interest at one point, so they must have also seen what I see. Still, you know best, dear...

No I think he will go to a league club I just dont think we will get the ridiculous money for him that some people were touting.

We are very much in a time of don't know. Don't know how long lockdown will last Don't know who's got the virus Don't know when any treatment drugs might be available Don't when a vaccine will be available Etc etc
Seems to me that a vaccine and effective drugs are the key to any return to 'normality'. Phased returns to certain shops opening, haircuts (expect the hairdresser to wear a full face motor cycle helmet), even visiting the seaside, might be on the cards in a month or so. Anything with large gatherings of people is another matter, which of course includes spectator sports, pubs, restaurants, cinema, theatre and so on. It might all ease a bit, but then, come autumn and winter, will there be a return, and on top of ordinary flu and so on? Answer = don't know! There is a scenario where there may not be anything which involves large gatherings for a full year. There again, can football be creative and segregate grounds as per supermarket queues, with us all having our own box painted on the ground? Our stewards might enjoy that, especially if they were armed and could shoot anyone stepping over a line 😥. I keep trying to think of options, for example - many of our current squad came from part time, so would that mean they are more likely to accept going back to it? Likewise, given there will like as not be a decrease in the number of full time players at NL level (and probably a thinning out of staff higher up the pyramid), who is going to want any of our FT players, given they haven't exactly covered themselves in glory? As to Hak staying, suppose that, with no JS that is one less salary to pay, though he might have to learn to cope with far fewer backroom staff as per Jay's era, when he seemed to do almost everything. Who knows? These really are unprecedented times.
