Kahn has had some very good moments and its not all about that Blackpool goal. For the ten minutes he went all out at Dartford he transformed the game. He has looked a decent player nearly every time i have seen him Wow put that on his cv. Went all out for 10 minutes against Dartford, that'll have 'em queueing up to the library to sign him. To be fair, the queue of people wanting to sign him will have them queuing up to sign him.

We need to hang onto our best players. Luckily Khan is already signed up for 20/21 season. Not if we go part-time he isn't. Existing player contracts won't be worth the paper they are written on if it happens. In your opinion jayser ! Imo Saidou Khan has an employment contract that is legally binding on both sides. Most of our players have contracts that expire at the end of April, but that is not the case with Khan. The club didnt want to keep Wishart last season cause he was too expensive, but it made no difference. His contract bound the club to keep him on the playing staff, paying wages we could barely afford. Wishart wasn't the only player the club wanted to offload later in the season. But it takes 2 to tango and if just one party wants to stick to the terms of the contract, it trumps everything else. The club is bound by the terms of Saidou's contract and so is he. The fact that Khan may be required to train a bit less next season has no relevance at all. Of course this is only my opinion.

Interesting listen to Oliver Ash from his Parisian home. He confirmed that all staff have been temporarily laid off, even Ian Tucker. Still it should mean they get their 80%, that presumably applies to the players too. Naturally the club has received zero so far. There is a cash issue inasmuch that the club has close to no savings at all. The Wheeler experience, relegation and a drop in attendances hasn't exactly helped. I did get the impression that Hak is nailed on for next season if everybody is able to agree terms. Seems quite a cut in the playing budget is expected. Evening training is def on the cards but nothing ruled out, including a mix of evening and one daytime session. Oliver is looking to retain some of the existing squad that the club likes. 3 of the existing squad have contracts that run through next season. (Saidou Khan plus 2 others ?) At the same time we will be looking to recruit more Kent based players as per our previous history. 100% we will not be signing players with longish commutes or need putting up in accommodation. Just got the feeling that George may be part of the future, which would be great. Club will be hoping that loyal season ticket holders will sign up early to help give the club a cash boost. By the end of the month the club should have decided on all of the above. Tough times indeed, but most other clubs are probably in a worst situation.

Chris Kinnear was one of my fave players in black and amber back in the day, but wasn't he interviewed and rejected by Oliver and Terry as he had a big negative about 3G? His chairman at Dover, Jim Parmenter, has always had very strong anti 3G views and he has been very public with them. Chris was always very careful with his words when asked about the subject, I never read or heard any statements from him saying he had a problem with the surface. I very much doubt it would be an issue. If he hated it that much, why would he have even put himself forward for interview? Also, I doubt Oliver and Terry (and Bill) would be so unprofessional as to discuss why any candidates were rejected. It sounds like a fake rumour to me. Fair enough Jayser! So Chris could be in the running if Hak needs FT money elsewhere and can get a job. Who knows? As everyone at the club is laid off now we could have Stevie Watt in charge or Jamie Coyle as player manager or even dare I say it the return of a certain Margate manager! We will see.

Not all of us have an agenda bbj. Oliver, Terry and Bill have had plenty of time to judge Hak over the past 12 months. If they believe he is the manager to lead our beloved team back to the promised land, then that is good enough for me.

The above two posts appear to be the only ones for 11th April. Is this a record?

Other things on our minds although surprising there was so little feedback to Oliver's proadcast.

Bit of a challenge getting to hear Oliver from the back garden of his Paris home. Needed to download 'Periscope' app to do the job. Seems like the club is skint but keeping our head above water but only just. Loyal season ticket holders that can afford it, will be need to cough up early by the sounds of it. Change of direction for the club as a lower playing budget dictates that we may hang around NLS longer than expected.

I think the owners have settled on Hak as long as he signs up to a new training regime and prepared to manage on a reduced badget.

I think the owners have settled on Hak as long as he signs up to a new training regime and prepared to manage on a reduced badget. If our budget is reduced on crowds of 1800 then 90% of the clubs in NLS will do the same. Should Hak not want the job under these conditions then who else would A. Want him B. Afford him Hak will know that COVID19 will decimate non league football financially and we are a safer bet than many other clubs. Hak would be a fool to leave until normality returns and that is a long way off.

I think Hak is 90% likely to accept any new offer from the club. With lower player wages on offer next season we can expect to loose half the squad, but who is likely to be offered a contract and who will accept ?

Just guesswork and maybe wishful thinking Chris Lewington Gavin Hoyte George Elokobi Noah Chesmain Ryan Johnson Saidou Khan Sam Corne Zihni Temelci Ibrahaim Akanbi
Quite a bunch really so I guess a couple of them won't make the cut.
Anybody know the 2 players other than Khan who have contracts for next season ?

Anybody know the 2 players other than Khan who have contracts for next season ? Not wishful thinking at all. With non league football about to go into financial meltdown the only clubs that may be able to afford paying the amount of money they are used to are the NL clubs and I am not convinced many of these players are NL quality. We do not know the financial situation of the players with regards to families and bills etc but like Hak they will know that we are a safer bet than many clubs will be next season.

So Oliver has admitted that early ST sales would benefit the club,s cash pot, so how many of us on here would honestly get there cash out an buy a very early ticket without knowing what will happen next year or who will be here next year. I certainly will as I suggested the idea in the first instance. Not sure if there will be too many buyers.
