More to the point Are some people on Maidstones supporter base in touch with reality ? "Reality is a dish best served cold". Hmm that's wrong isnt it but it is a 2 year quotation and I am only half way through my first year, this time next year if I eliminate my errors and move onwards,I will get it right. 👨🚀👨🚀👨🚀👨🚀 swordyman lost touch with reality a long, long time ago👨🚀👨🚀👨🚀👨🚀

I've been thinking we need a "KM Articles Thread". We're quite lucky to have such interest from our local newspaper.

Because Barney it was all new at the beginning and settling in and building and all that but by now was supposed to be settled and performing and delivering good results great performances promising players and real promotion potential. Instead the reverse is happening and team and club and supporter morale seems to have plummeted and the managers seem clueless and deluded. That’s why it’s a crisis!

We have had one extremely poor performance against St Albans and one slightly less one against Dartford so if we are again poor tomorrow then it could be described as a crisis. If we were to beat Oxford tomorrow it suddenly gets downgraded to a blip. We will beat Oxford tomorrow, have faith.

I don't recall any promises of promotion or glory this season. We've had a good cup run, are in the top half of the league, with all to play for. This season is exactly what I was expecting. If we're still in this position next season, then grumble away to your heart's content.

We are 8th, with games in hand, and, yes, we had a decent cup run (although the usual Trophy 'run').
But ask anyone who has seen the last few games if they feel confident about actually being in the playoffs at the end of the season, or, if we are, doing well in them. Or even if they feel confident about Oxford - or Billericay...
We were confident about Hampton and Richmond, about Tonbridge, about HHT, about St Albans, about Dartford, but we didn't win any of them. True, we hung on for a fairly desperate win at H&W but that's pretty much the only bright spot recently.
Then there's our joint top scorer opting to move to a lower league side, rumours that HH has lost the changing room, three players possibly being kicked out...
There's a lot more to accessing progress than just glancing at the table.

I was being neither negative or positive, just making a point about people's use of half the 'facts'. I feel both positive and negative at the moment (as you will note if you actually read my posts). And, I suspect, many/most of us feel the same way - hence the concern and uncertainty being expressd on here. But if you want to ignore the complexities of real life and just resort to simplistic labeling of people, carry on.
